I have other Ultrafire flashlights that are great. This one, not so much. Construction is shabby, the 'clicker' button stopped working after one try, and even the initial time it actually lit, the brightness wasn't even as bright as the 1000 lumen Ultrafire model.

I'm fairly sure this is counterfeit.

I've purchased several of these ultra bright cree lights and so far this one is my favorite. I bought it after seeing a friend of mine with it. The reasons I like it so much are:

Size verse lumens...it is truly ultra bright but unit itself is compact, light, and easy to handle

Lens is adjustable...slide the head back and forth for spot beam or wide beam. With spot beam it has an amazing throw, but most situations I want the wide beam. The other higher lumen lights I have aren't adjustable.

Batteries can be removed easily and the charger is included.

The switch has two modes of operation: 1) a FIRM press, that switches the light on and off, and 2) a LIGHT press that switches through a sequential series of flashlight functions (100%, 50%, 10%, rapid-flash, and SOS).

And bright ... you will not beiieve how bright this flashlight is. 1,600 lumens!!! Not too long ago I bought a 300 lumen light for $40 (brand name intentionally omitted) and i thought IT was bright. This one, only $20, is more than FIVE times as bright.

WARNING: this flashlight is NOT a toy. Do NOT give this light to children. It is SO bright that damage can be done to the eye by looking directly into the beam.

The beam focus is adjustable (by sliding the head of the light forward and backward) ... from a wide round beam beam that will illuminate a WIDE area, to a narrow BRIGHT beam, the same shape as the LED (square), that will illuminate objects at an unbelievable distance.

Construction is not what one would expect from a Chinese product. It has a sturdy feel that presages a long useful life. But, at 8 inches in length (with an almost 2 inch head) its a little big for a pocket light.

The light comes with two 3,000mAh 18650 lithium-ion batteries and its own charger that is equipped with a LED that switches from red to green when the charging cycle is complete. The chargers plug swings conveniently out of the way for easy transportation. Lithium batteries are DIFFERENT from ni-cad batteries. Pay attention to the warnings on this web-page concerning discharge and charging. Or you will soon find yourself buying two new batteries. Charging takes several hours due to the type of battery included, so you might consider a spare pair of batteries for convenience.

Light with belt clip and wrist lanyard, two batteries and charger ... quite a deal for only $20 ... for a light SO bright that you have to see it to believe how bright it is.

Look no further ... this is a well made, EXCELLENTLY functioning light, with batteries and charger. Whats not to recommend?

The light is quite bright on the High setting. It sometimes starts at the next setting after the light is turned off. If I turn it on High, a light press on the button changes it to Medium, then Dim, then Strobe and then SOS regardless of what the setting was when I have turned it off. At other times, regardless of the last used setting, after leaving it for a while, it always starts at High. Go figure!

Recently, after the two 18650 batteries had been in the light from the first time I put it together, I noticed the light was dim. I was walking my dogs, and I checked the batteries when I returned. One battery would not recharge. On my voltmeter, it was 0 volts. The failed battery is an UltraFire BRC 18650 3000 mAh 3.7V li-ion RED battery. I replaced it with another of the same. My light is bright again.

I like the fact that I can charge these 18650 batteries in the same charger I use for the 26650 5000 mAh batteries. It makes for fewer chargers when traveling.

Light good charger good but battery crap

I ended up buying 4 of these in all and they are very bright but non of the 4 sets of batterys seemed to stay last charged near as long as other 18650's I own.....and after the 3rd charge on my personal light , one of the batteries died completely now it won't even take a charge....still the light is a bargain at this price
