I use my headlamp a lot. I use it not only for hiking and walking outside when it is dark. I live in a tree dense area and often loose eletricity. When this happens I use my headlamp to get around the house in the dark so I can continue with my daily tasks without having to use my hands to hold the light. Prior to receiving Lighting EVER the headlamp I used is Black Diamond headlamp, a well known brand in a $40 range.
For this review I decided to compare Lighting EVER headlamp with Black Diamond headlamp. In attached video I have two headlamps side by side. To my surprise the Lightening EVER headlamp turned out to be brighter.
Lighting EVER headlamp has one center light. It can be racheted down in steps 30 degrees relative to its original position. This is very handy when you need to light the ground right in front of you. I my Black Diamond headlamp I need to move my head to achieve this effect, and thus I cannot be looking straight ahead and lightening the ground in front of me. According to EVER Lighting documentation the beam has a 500 feet range.
My Black Diamond headlight has several modes, I can use the center lamp as a bright beam (the one used in the comparison photo) or two dimmer lights to light a wider area. The Lighting EVER headlamp has only one lamp and three setting: full, semi-full, and flashing.
The Black Diamon headlight has a light which indicates the level of charge in the battery (green when full, yellow when it is beginning to run low, and red when it is almost out). Lighting EVER headlamp does not have this feature.
On the other hand, the Lighting EVER headlamp has flashing light mode which the Black Diamon headlight does not. The flashing light can be very useful in emergency situation to attract attention or to signal for help.
Both lamps have the batteries in the back, which gives the headlamp good balance when you are wearing it. The Lighting EVER lamp runs on 3 AAA batteries, the Black Diamond headlamp runs on two AA batteries. The headband on both headlamps is adjustable and fits a larger variety of heads from small to large.
The Lighting EVER headlamp with batteries weighs 4oz. The light protrudes 1.5" from its mounting. By comparison, the Black Diamond headlamp is 5.7 oz, and also protrudes 1.5" from its mounting. The Black diamond headlamp is wider (2.25") because it has three lights, the center one, and two side ones. The Lighting EVER headlamp is 1" wide at the widest point.
I received this head lamp from Lighting EVER for testing and review (be it positive or negative). In the comparison with Black Diamond headlamp Lighting EVER headlamp performed very well generating a brighter beam of light. I particularly the ability to rachet the angle of the lamp. Given the price difference (at the time this review is posted the Lighting EVER headlamp is under $11 dollars) I am impressed with this headlamp.

Is it the other end of the tunnel or the Cree headlamp? If its a bright light, it's the Cree or a train!Pros: good fit, the elastic headband is adjustable and not too tight for even the largest human head size. The switch is easy to find and to operate and the light is bright and can be focused. Good battery life.
Cons: the switch on mine was too easily changed when trying to focus?

Bought this for night fishing. Headlamp is very bright considering the cost! Zoom feature is half way useful (zoom it in all the way and you get a 4'' square...if you wanna upset a crab or something) but zooming to 50% does make the beam 50% brighter and a slightly narrower area. This is one of the lightest headlamps ive tried so far and battery life is pretty good. Dont hesitate, just try one!Honest reviews on Lighting EVER Adjustable Focus CREE LED Headlamp, Super Bright, 3
For brightness and price this is a great headlamp. It lasts about two nights of use before it starts to dim. A tab that the strap attaches to broke on a small drop and these tabs are not too durable. luckily it was the tab that holds the strap that goes on top of my head so I am still able to use it without too much problems.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lighting EVER Adjustable Focus CREE LED Headlamp, Super Bright, 3
This high intensity LED headlamp is great for biking, camping, fishing, hunting and emergency situations just to name a few. It is a good idea to have more than one.The straps are adjustable so it will fit any size or shaped head comfortably. The battery compartment and light mount have foam padding to add cushion while resting on your head.
The LED light is incredibly bright and has a built-in focus feature that is controlled by twisting the base of the light to make the light distribution bigger or more smaller.
Uses 3 AA batteries which are included. The only negative comment I can say is that I wish the battery compartment had some kind of o-ring to make it water resistance. Since we normally fish and hunt in dew weather conditions, it concerns me that moisture may corrode the batteries. I will probably make sure to take the cover off the battery compartment and letting it dry dry after being in moist weather conditions.
Overall very nice headlamp with multiple uses. It is lightweight, small and a convenient gadget to have on hand.
