This DC-DC converter does what it is supposed to do. Despite the ominously large heat sink, it is very efficient (while I have not stressed tested it, I think the heat sink is the definition of "an abundance of cation"). If space is a consideration, you might need to keep looking. However if you are looking for a well built low part count over engineered adjustable power supply, buy this one.

Came in the mail with capacitors bent, no big deal. Also, the location of the adjustment screw could have been in a better place.
