I purchased this light for my husband for Christmas 2010. Our last two Mag lights stopped working after a couple of years and so didn't want to spend the 20 bucks for another one. I saw this and liked that it had a clamp plus a magnet to hold it in position with a tilt/swivel head. The flashlight feels very sturdy and is made out of a high quality dense black plastic material. It reminds me of bakelite. The flashlight head will tilt past 90 degrees from the body and swivel almost 360 degrees clicking into several positions. My husband installed the batteries that came with the flashlight and it worked great right out of the package. There are two light levels, high and low, and the beam is adjustable from spot to flood. I was amazed at the intensity of the LED. I have never seen an LED with such a bright, strong beam, of light. My husband was able to clearly light up the top of our palm tree which is about 30 feet high and about 30 feet away from our backdoor. On high the light is almost too strong for close up work and I had to click it down to see details I was looking at close up. He already used it in the attic when rewiring our doorbell using the clamp portion to attach it to a roof rafter. He said it worked great! The clamp is very strong as is the magnet. The clamp will open about 1.75", but I could barely open it with my weak hands. We have only had this for a few days but are really pleased so far. I also like that we can store it on the fridge with the magnet so it is easy to find.

This light was larger than I expected. I did not realized just how useful it is until the power went out last night. I turned it on, used the magnet to attach it to the fridge, and aimed the light at the ceiling. On high it lit the kitchen and dining room well enough to read. I'm going to order two more. This is a great light that is effective in almost any situation. The built in clamp and the very powerful LED light that rotates, swivels, and twists to adjust as needed. The LED has a high and a low and a adjustable lens for wide angle or focused light. It has a magnet that will hold it to your car fender in the dark or it is so powerful that you could use it as a handle on your refrigerator.I am tired of purchasing LED aluminum flashlights that only work about a year. This light built is much better and will easily last much longer.
