it did not come with a plug. i got excited and the lights work but the transformer did not come with the plug. luckily i already have one similar.

I did not notice or it did not say, that this particular LED strip does NOT come with a transformer, ,so you take it out of the package and you have no way to light it up. You have to order a transformer to operate this strip. I did have a charger for a rechargeable flash light, which I was able to make the strip come to life,, but the charger gets pretty hot, but the LED's are a neat item and does work good.
