Installed 2 of these into a custom made cherry bookcase style headboard I made for my daughter. They work great for reading lights in this application. Qulaity seems pretty good. They do develop some heat on the high setting. They came with power cord and connector cable to connect another one without a 2nd power cord, but connector was too short for me to use at 18".
