I recently bought one of the forward facing and one of the backward looking cranes.

I have a number of decorative solar lights, but these cranes (they look like blue herons to me) are by far the most beautiful. In fact, they're even more gorgeous in the daytime as at night. I'll be buying more to give as gifts!

In addition, they stand quite high, so be sure to review the dimensions before you buy. Mine are in an area where I have nothing BUT solar lights, but you could put them where you have substantial ground cover and they would look wonderful. Also, if your soil is very sandy, you might have a problem with them standing up because they are so tall and could be top heavy. Put them in grass or where there are other roots to bind the soil together and you should be fine.

I thought these birds were well worth the money. Even if the light stops working, they'll still be beautiful in the daytime.

The actual size of the crane itself is quite small compared to the published dimensions (due to the substantial length of the stake.)

I bought a pair of these forward and rearward facing cranes and have watched as the blue glass ball of the forward facing crane has slowly been fading. It's now turned almost completely clear in a matter of weeks! The rearward facing crane is still blue, so they no longer match.

PS: I actually prefer the clear glass ball as the colours of the LED light can now be clearly seen. I just wish both of them had faded....

the lights change colors.. I didn't know that until they started lighting up.. you may need to put in new batteries for a good charge

I have only had this light for a few weeks but it is cute during the day and the light is nice in my garden at night. The light isn't bright enough to light an area, it just looks interesting as it changes through its colors. It was a splurge and more than I would spend but it appears to be made with sturdy construction so hopefully it will last a long time. Look closely at the size dimensions this is not a large figure.

This is a really beautiful crane at a great price. There is a unique crackle effect throughout the solar ball. May go back for the other one if it's back in stock. Shipped sooner than expected which was a pleasant surprise.
