This is basically an LED task lamp on a pole. Useful if you don't have space on your desk for a standard task lamp because you can put this behind your desk and then pull the lamp down to provide light. But it's essentially just a task lamp, so don't expect more light than that. Very easy to put together (seriously), however the directions imply there is a seperate "set screw" that needs to be attached. This screw is actually very small and already in the top part of the lamp. Good construction.

I highly recommend this light as long as you like the style or look of it. I use it for an "over" the desk light to supplement the ceiling light which is kind of weak. You can easily manipulate the arm to put the light wherever you want it. Its very minimalist design but puts out a good amount of light. I'm usually pretty cheap, but I was especially needing a good desk work light and considering my satisfaction I think it's well worth the price. And being LED, it doesn't bake you with heat. Another benefit, it uses very little energy. Quality and construction seems very good. Fit and finish are very good. I've had this for quite some time now. Highly recommend.
