These bulbs have performed well and provided bright light. I have had reliability trouble with other 12volt bulbs (made by GE). These fill the bill.

Review of G7 Power G7A21930 900 Lumen LED Light Bulb, 9-watt, Warm White
I did an initial bite of four of these bulbs to test in various places around my house, to see in what applications I could use them. I have a wide variety of light fixtures, so I was able to test these bulbs in a lot of different situations. Here's how they fared:
1. Bathroom lighting (sticking out of the wall above the mirror) 4.5/5
I replaced all four of the 50 watt round incandescent bulbs that came with the house for this test. I was worried that the 180 degree luminance would be insufficient in this fixture (not lighting the wall enough), but it is surprisingly good. 3000K color is better than 2700K in my opinion; it gives a more natural appearance to my skin without coming close to appearing cold. It would be slightly better if these bulbs were omnidirectional, as you can see that the wall is slightly dimmer, but it still functions very well. Do note that they output twice as much light as a 50 watt incandescent; if you have a large number of low wattage bulbs in your scenario, this bulb may be too bright. So even though the bulb works by design in this situation, I'll be looking for one that's not as bright.
2. Kitchen: recessed down lighting 5/5
This is where the bulbs truly excel due to their 180 degree luminance. They're superbly bright and the color is again very pleasing. With these bulbs, I can provide my kitchen with higher quality light in a larger volume while using only 36 watts instead of 260.
3. Closet: non-recessed, frost globe pointing down from ceiling 5/5
This bulb works excellently here. The light shines strongly through the globe, just as the 65W incandescent that came before it in my house did. Toward the ceiling is slightly dimmer due to the 180 degree luminance, but it doesn't matter at all in this location.
4. Hallway: horizontal with respect to the ceiling, one bulb 3/5
These fixtures I have mount the bulb parallel to the ceiling. The result is that this bulb, not being omnidirectional, cannot light everything, so you end up with obvious shadows in certain parts of the hall. It's still usable, as the shadowing is strongest on the ceiling, and the light spreads to the floor better, but the effect is not ideal. Unfortunately, I'll have to find another bulb for this situation.
5. Bedroom: horizontal with respect to the ceiling, two bulbs in opposite directions 4/5
These fixtures are just like #4, but with two bulbs facing opposing directions. The bulbs work better here since you have two opposing directions of light adding up to basically 360 degrees. However, in my situation the bulbs' luminous areas don't cross, so you end up with lines of strong shadows on the ceiling. Not ideal, but it still works.
Overall, these bulbs have excellent light quality in most situations. They're a great value in lumens per dollar, and they have the lifetime warranty. Further, they have the highest efficiency I've yet seen in LEDs for my home: 100 lumens per watt (I've seen as low as a meager 45). If they'll work in your application, look no further!

The light output is fantastic; Very bright and a nice color.
The metal heat collar acts as a heatsync, and gets too hot to touch. My infrared thermometer reads 115F.
My one complaint is this emits an audible buzzing. Using this in a swinging desk lamp, I can clearly hear a buzzing while sitting at my desk.
This product advertises itself as for desklamps, but if you have any average hearing you may notice a buzz. It is constant and can really grate on you.
Would not recommend for desk lamps. I will repurpose this to a ceiling light, but I am still disappointed.
Update 01/30/2013: re-upgraded back to 4 stars
G7 support was gracious to send me six new bulbs to replace the ones that buzzed (about a month after I contacted them last year). I apologize that I haven't had a chance to update this review, but I have since purchased more of their updated bulbs, and am happy to say that they have resolved the buzzing in the new bulbs. I have noticed that the newer bulbs are slightly more yellow in color than the original ones, but that is of minor consequence compared to the buzzing. Good customer service and product improvement.

Out of the seven bulbs that I've purchased, six of them have unbearably loud buzzingso loud that I replaced them with CFL's again. There was very slight buzzing when I first installed them, but they have gotten progressively louder over this past month. They've been put on our outdoor fixtures now, as they give me a headache indoors (not exaggerating). Turn up your audio and listen to the video to judge for yourselves. Contacted G7 support but no reply, and unfortunately past my return date. Waste of money for pricey bulbs that I can't actually use.. Purchase with caution, as these bulbs are advertised as 'No Buzz' on the packaging. False claims if some of them do in fact buzz. Read through the rest of the reviews, and you'll find that this is not an uncommon issue. Need some better quality control.
Original review 03/27/2012: five stars
These are instantly bright unlike our CFLs which take a while to warm up. CFL life span is also reduced with constant on/off activity, i.e. turning the lights on for only a little while, then turning them off (like our hallways lights). But LEDs do not suffer from that reduced life span when used for short periods of time throughout the day. So, this LED light removes those disadvantages, while saving even more electricity. Nice bright light (slightly brighter than our 15W CFLs), not too white, but just warm enough. Subjectively, I think the LED lighting looks better and more like natural sunlight than the off-yellow color from our CFLs. The only negative about these LED bulbs is the price.. but that price will come down the more that you purchase! Plus, no more mercury, and no more glass. These LED bulbs remove those safety hazards as well. Welcome to the future of lightingI'd buy these to replace all 40 of our CFLs in our recessed lights if I could afford to do so.. But for now, one at a time as the CFLs go out.

I purchased this bulb based on Prime availability and positive reviews.The light output is fantastic; Very bright and a nice color.
The metal heat collar acts as a heatsync, and gets too hot to touch. My infrared thermometer reads 115F.

I wanted to try out an LED bulb, and chose this one based on price. I don't have any measurement equipment, but subjectively agree with Mike's earlier comments. It's a bright white light, certainly equivalent to a regular 75 watt bulb (maybe even 85?). I used it to replace a 75w CFL flood....the LED goes on immediately, gives more light, runs cooler, and doesn't have my CFL's yellowish tinge. It works in a dimmer set to near full on, but just binary (on/off). I'm not sure what a lifetime guarantee really means (practically speaking), but I bought two more of these bulbs anyway.
Moonrays 95027 Wall/Post Mount Solar Deck Light, Round Reviews
I ordered these lights for my deck stairs after seeing similar ones my neighbor had...same brand different shape. Both sets (his and mine) have adequate light for their purpose. They light up otherwise very dark stairs behind the house. The light is perfect for being able to see where you are going and seeing the stairs. HOWEVER....this round model says it is for deck posts in the description but it is TOO WIDE to fit on the posts and it overhangs on each side. We even have deck posts with sleeves around them making them even wider than normal and these overhang by 1/8" on each side. Very disappointed, looks terrible. The rectangular ones (same brand) fit perfectly. If you are mounting on a post DO NOT get these...get the rectangular ones.
I INSTALLED ONE ON EACH SIDE OF THE STAIR, AND THE OTHER 4 WERE USED TO REPLACE RUSTED OUT LOW VOLTAGE DECK LIGHTS ON THE RAILING OF OUR DECK THAT OVERLOOKS THE OCEAN. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW, WOW, WOW! THEY ALL HAVE PERFORMED PERFECTLY AND SOLVED MY DARK-STAIR AND RUSTING DECK-LIGHT PROBLEM......AND NO WIRING REQUIRED!

I had an electrician install these, he said they were the easiest under cabinet lights he had installed.
They look fabulous and having the option of low or high by the flick of a switch is fabulous. They give plenty of light or you can opt to have the softer light. The slim line finish looks very smart and is undetectable under the cabinets. LOVE these lights and would highly recommend purchasing!

I bought these to place one at my son's grave and the other at the site of his fatal accident. It's our way of honoring his memory. The flowers are beautiful and my son's two small children love watching them change colors. They are the perfect symbols to honor the memory and life of those we have lost.

I bought this to add some light when camping in our pup-up trailer. The low paper is a huge bonus and it is incredibly bright for 10W. The unit feels solid and appears to be well made.

There is another MAJOR issue:
When wiring several of these lights up in parallel the voltage across the wires drops significantly. I noticed that after the 4th light the voltage dropped to about 6-8V down from 12V and the lights become too dim to use. This means that I had to pull multiple separate lines of wires to each sets of 4 lights. This was was not only painful and labor intensive but also very expensive as wire is expensive. So while the lights themselves are nice and give good light, if you plan on installing multiple lights, think again.

Light worked great, installed two on my mower deck for late operation. The power supply board needed a little refinement to accommodate the vibration. Opened the unit and a little extra 5 minute epoxy applied to the components restored the full operation. These lights are very nice and they light up my backand frontyard nicely. I have about 15 of them in my yard. I purchased a 300W 12v DC transformer separately and hooked them up. Note that they are DC and not AC like other garden lights, so you can't just buy a tranformer at home depot.There is another MAJOR issue:

We bought several of these lanterns at a local store on sale last summer, in different shapes and colors, and we put them away to use this summer. Even when they were new, the light was very dim. In order for you to even see the light at night, they have to be in total, glaring sun all day long. Even then, the only ones you can really see well are the white ones. The light just doesn't shine through the colored ones. But charging them all day in the hot sun presents another problem, because the fabric fades very easily, and it doesn't take very long before they get too bleached out in the sun to look very nice. The other problem is that the frames are quite flimsy, and they eventually collapse under the strain of supporting the shapes. It didn't take long for about half of ours to go all lopsided. Of all the lanterns, the only ones that stayed looking nice were the white teardrop-shaped ones. But even with those, the fabric got very brittle and started to rot and tear by the end of the summer.Still, this wouldn't have been a problem if the lanterns were cheap. I would have just written them off as one of those items you have to replace every year. In fact, I got online today to try to find a few more of the white teardrop-shaped ones. And I was SHOCKED to see how expensive they are when they're not on sale.
I would say that unless you plan to just put these out to charge on the morning you're going to have a party, and then take them down immediately afterwards, these are just not worth buying. They will not stand up to hanging on a deck or patio all summer.

I purchased the 2010N Nemo recoil LED as a back-up light for my night dives. It's quality is great, as you can expect from Pelican. The beam is very straight and focused, and can be used even during the day to peer into cracks and crevices in the reef. Many LED dive lights used as a back-up can be too weak to use during the day, but the 2010N does a very good job, especially considering it uses just one LED light. I say this only because if you dive with a canister LED light with three LED, you can really see the difference, but a canister light can easily set you back $700.+ On a night dive, the 2010N can also be a primary light. It's plenty bright. One word of caution to divers, although the 2010N has a built in clip, don't use it as a way to attach the light to your harness on you BC (I've lost one already using the built in clip, was a brain fart). Get a snap bolt and secure it by clipping it to your D ring. I've replaced my lost 2010N with a new one. Great product.

This thing is pretty long, much longer then I expected. I guess I missed the 55 feet part.The lights themselves are pretty bright, but not bright enough to illuminate the area. The lights stay on all night, it works great!

I didnt know what to expect very very pleasantly surprised! They are hanging over our seating area under the trees. They do not provide light by which to see but you find yourself staring at them like stars. They give the perfect affect! Have had no issue, they worked right out of the box and have been every night. Great find!

I read good reviews for these bulbs on Amazon before purchasing two of these LED bulbs. However, the bulbs I received did not look like the one in the picture. They had flame tips and not bright at all. The size was not well fit for for my chandelier. I had to return the bulbs and ended up buying LED bulbs made by TCP which made excellent dimmable LED Candelabra Bulbs.
The only problem occurred three years after purchase. The plastic at the base started to yellow; I assume from UV exposure. My fixture has a clear (not frosted) glass cover, so the yellowing is noticeable.

LED lamp color can be harsh. These lights turned out to be what I was hoping for: not too harsh, cooler to the touch, saves energy for the equivalent lumens, and they will last ten times longer that those hot incandecent lamps.The only problem occurred three years after purchase. I bought 10 of these bulbs for my bathroom mirror, where they replace a row of spherical 25W incandescent bulbs. The LED bulbs look brighter than the incandescent bulbs; the light color is consistent and acceptable for my taste, only a little more bluish than the incandescent light color. The LEDs come on with a short delay on the order of a half second, faster when they have been off for just a few minutes. The bulbs do not get hot, even after a half hour or so. The only drawback for my application results from the fact that no light is radiated towards the back of the bulbs, i.e. towards my mirror. Due to this design, the total light output is smaller and the illumination of my bathroom is less uniform than with the incandescent bulbs, despite the LED bulbs' brighter front-view appearance. Unit was too large for application intended. Kept and utilized in another lamp. Recommend listing this with exact sizing for small harp lamp application (decorative lamp). Provides plenty of light for two watts, only IF it fits the lamp.

I wanted to get my boyfriend some nightlights that looked cooler than standard nightlights, but would still provide me with enough light to get around his condo at night. I was really nervous that these nightlights would be cheesy, but they really aren't. You can adjust the light to change colors in a flash (which, I have to admit, looks a little cheesy) or fade from one color to the next, which is actually pretty cool. You can also set it to stay on one single color, that's what my boyfriend did he likes the green. Plus, it has a light sensor, so you don't have to worry about switching it on and off. We both really love the nightlights and they look great in his condo!
Overall, I think its an okay night light because of the following: the night light is not nearly bright enough. The modes are kind of weak. If you select the continuous change you will see many nice colors (which is great) but the drawback is that they change way too fast. It would be really nice if it had another continuous change mode that was slower in changing the colors. In fact, if it had this feature it alone would make me give it 5 stars and forget the rest of the drawbacks.
I hope they make a new version of the light with a slower color-change and one that allows you to lock it in on white or any of the numerous "changing colors," such as bluish purple or orange.
Anyway, if you buy it and find that the speed of the color-change is fine for you, I'm pretty sure you will be satisfied with the night light.

Bought one of these about 6 months ago. Very happy with it. Gives off enough ilumination for me to see where I'm going without having to turn on the lights. Don't care for the changing colors setting though; that's a bit cheesy for a night light in my opinion. But it is cool to have 3 other colors to choose from. I am buying another one for my kitchen.

The thing I love most about these ladybugs aren't how cute they are or how nicely they glow brightly well into the night, but instead what a good idea they are and how well-engineered they are. I haven't found another product like them, one that has a single, positionable solar collector which also holds the batteries, with a nice long length of detachable, replaceable cable connecting to one ladybug, which then again connects to another with a slightly shorter cable and again to another and again to the last. I suppose I could add even more ladybugs to the chain, but I imagine that would put more strain on the batteries and reduce the night's light span. Plus to do that, I would have another set anyway, so it'd be unnecessary.
In fact I recently had some vandalism to some of my ladybugs and even though the outer shells were damaged off their bases, the base with the light continued to bright-up every night, and I could put the damaged ladybugs over them, though they weren't sealed. So I ordered another set, and that very engineering that allows you to attach and detach cables made it so that I could replace the damaged ladybugs, in the center of their chains mind you with new replacements. Easy as pie. (I have two sets. Each set out along the sidewalk, north and south respectively of my central walk-up to the house, in between the bushes and flowers. And the cable lengths allows me to place the ladybugs all along that whole distance.)
Also, the extra long length of the solar collector's cable to the first ladybug lets me "hide" it in a bush's shadow from my nearby streetlight, thereby getting all its daylight, but not being affected by the streetlight at night.
All of this could've been a very different product. Maybe just a hard-wired together set and when one was busted you'd basically have to replace the whole thing. Or perhaps, just a set of four ladybugs, each with a built-in solar collector marring their, well, "cuteness", as well as their own batteries *ugh*. But now, from my one replacement set, I can make individual replacements on my own, or have different amount of ladybugs set out than the base 4, etc.
A well-named product, "Smart Solar" to be sure.

Received these lights 4 sets as a Christmas present. Two sets were non-functional. Two new sets were sent to me to replace these one of these was non-functional. 50% of my now 6 sets don't work. They're very cute during daylight hours but not real functional as solar lights.

I really like these bulbs, because they come with a night light on the regular bulb which I have never seen before and is very clever! I can use the night light by turning off the bulb and back on within 3 seconds, then back off and on to return to the regular light. I use these outside by the patio for a night light. It's enough light to see to let the dog out which is all I need. I plan to buy more for out front to have some light out there at night too. Great idea! I hope Satco keeps making these unique bulbs!

Great product. CFL is warm 3000K ish light. LED is daylight 5000k ish light. Do a quick on off and switch from CFL to night light mode. Use one of these in a recessed can light in the kitched to function as a night light and it functions well. Matches other CFL floods as well.Mendards is only other place I have found a similar product but it is cheaper here.

great idea! one less plug-in to worry about and child proof. some say blue-ish light is not good while falling asleep, but my child isn't affected by it much. give us just enough light to sneak in and check on him...change diaper. thinking about getting more. First one came broken but got a replacement right away.
