This bulb has a great warm light perfect for small bed side lamp that use Candelabra base bulbs. It looks great with a good shade, but be aware that without a shade the clear glass (probably actually some sort of acrylate) bulb can be a bit directional. One other area of possible concern is that the bulb is physically larger than many incandescent candelabra base bulbs. This is important if you have a shade that clamps onto the bulb. My shade did in fact fit this large bulb, but just barely. The bulb comes in a tube protecting it from damage, which is a step up from standard plastic form fitted packaging, it is also easier to access without having the cut open the plastic. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

After two weeks of research on flashlights I decided on this one. On my initial test of the light inside the house I thought I made a big mistake. The light is so focused that it appears useless within 15 feet. Then I realized that the secondary light ring was more than adequate for closer work the center beam was just so bright you thought there wasn't enough spread in the secondary ring. Then I took the light on a hunting trip. First night in camp I realized what an awesome light it. My buddy had a specialty light on his lever action rifle for night hunting and it didn't even touch the output of my light. Then we compared it against a generic handheld spotlight. Again, there was no comparison to my light. Unless you need something for close-in work, say under 15 feet, and you need something small, I would not hesitate to buy this light.

I was searching for a new bike light online for about a week or so before I came across this one. I'm really glad I did, the Lumintrail TB-300 is hands down the best light I've had on my bike. I bought this lamp as a task lamp for my scroll saw. My previous lamps were more of a pain than anything and never seemed to stay put in the position that I set them. The head was also a large 8-inch reflector which always got in the way. Now this LED gooseneck lamp is perfect! The gooseneck flexes into any position and stays where I set it. The small lamp head is unobtrusive and doesn't block my view or get in the workspace where my hands and arms move. The LED is bright and can be focused into different size beams to illuminate all or a portion of the workspace. Also, since it's an LED, you don't get burned when your arm brushes across the lamp head. It's very easy to assemble and doesn't require any tools to do so. For me, this is a wonderful lamp!!!
9/2013 Almost nine months later using this lamp with my scroll saw...and I wouldn't trade it for anything!!! It's bright and unobtrusive which is a dream. I waited for this to come back into stock, and it was well worth it. Its extremely concentrated, and focus can be changed by sliding the head to control its lens. The head is on a flexible neck of about 15 inches, thus it can be positioned at ANY angle.My wife uses it to do needle point while we watch a movie. Ok, not a big deal except when the movie is on our projected screen. The kids complained because other lights bled too much light and were an annoyance. This is concentrated, with the head allowing for a very bright, adjustable, contained area from which the light doesn't bleed. In fact, it was so handy for my wife's needle point that she's started dragging it up and down the stairs, so she can use it on the couch near our regular TV even though she has other lights in the room (sigh...I may wind up buying another one).
If this were an Ikea item, I suspect it would only be about half to two-thirds the price. But its not, so... if you want a controllable spot light for work requiring really good close visibility (like dentistry, or needle point), this is your light.
UPDATE: Another use for this. I had some old black and white negatives of a larger size from my Dad (circa 1950). I scanned them by placing on my (non-negative, non-slide) scanner, covering with a piece of glass and a blank sheet of copier paper and shinning this light on the back. I used the focus on the lamp to control the area of light that hit the negative (via the copier paper as the diffuser). The results were good to very good.

I originally intended to use this lamp as a bedside reading light, but found the intense bright white light overwhelming and nearly blinding, and consequentially not well-suited for the this purpose. I moved the lamp next to my living room reading chair and discovered that it provides outstanding focused light, ideally suited to the high volume of reading that I have to complete. Unfortunately, this is not reading for pleasure, no novels or other such entertainment; rather, it is technical documentation and product and process writing, and this requires a level of attention and reading that can be tiring without appropriate lighting. This lamp meets my requirements for this purpose without qualification, and actually exceeds my expectations. I am delighted with this lamp, and look forward to my reading work now that I have this lamp as a tool to facilitate my efforts.

I gave it as a Christmas gift and it will look nice beside a small birdbath, but this is a small item. So be aware that you cannot locate it in a garden with medium (like a tulip) or taller flowers or it will be lost. I didn't have a problem with leaves triggering this unit, but I did have an issue with lack of sensitivity. The unit claims to work up to 70', but actually would only turn on around 15'. Detection is good inside that range.It also has a bright red LED on the bottom to indicate when it's detection motion which otherwise stays on constantly. It's so bright that it projects about a 1' red spot on the wall at night.
Terrible performance, and you can't turn off the LED light. I'll be returning this junky sensor.

I installed it according to the instructions in a location protected from the weather and sun. It quit working in less than 60 days.Update April/2011 in hindsight I may have over taxed the allowable wattagg of this unit. I wanted it to activate a six bay carport W/six 80 watt florescent lamps. When florescent lamp ballasts activate, they draw more current than the bulbs themselves and may have been why this unit quit, live and learn.

It's a very good desk lamp. Nice looking, not too bulky, provides a lot of light for reading textbooks, very adjustable.Hope it lasts. I don't see any way to change the LED bulb, so I assume this lamp is done when the bulb stops working. The manual says "do not replace bulb". This was a surprise to me.

I bought this light because it was decently priced for the lumen output and including a battery and charger. It showed up in a nice case, and the product feels solid. I charged the included battery, and everything worked great. It's definitely bright, no doubt about it, and it runs for many hours. I read the short manual, and that's when I saw that it was 1000 lumens on high. Honestly, i don't care much. It's really bright, works great. I recommend it. If I could focus the beam for long/short range use, i'd give it a 5 star rating. It does have 5 modes (high/med/low/strobe/sos).

I wanted this one to go on another circuit and had no problem programming 2 different remotes to turn on their own individual emergency light. Doesn't light up very much or reach very far. But as an emergency light, or even visual power outage alert, this is pretty good. Only lights up though; no audible alert. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program After Hurricane Irene last year, and previous good experiences with other Mr. Beams motion-activated lights, we decided to invest in this Mr. Beams ReadyBright Wireless Power Outtage System.For those who already have other Mr. Beams motion activated products, this ReadyBright series uses the same super-bright LEDs and magnifying lens. The only difference is that this ReadyBright system does not not contain a motion-activated sensor but instead has a remote sensor. Both the ReadyBright and the original motion-activated will only turn on in the dark.
The main difference between the two is that when the power goes out unexpectedly, this particular unit sends a wireless signal to the other Mr. Beams ReadyBright series lights in your house to turn themselves on. This base unit also doubles as a remote control to individually activate/deactivate individual ReadyBright series lights that it is directly pointed at. This is great if you are awake and are at home. The main problem with this feature is that it will run the battery down from the lights being on continuously all night if you are not at home to switch off the ones you don't need. So if you will be away from home on vacation or for other long periods of time, it's best to unplug and deactivate this "base unit" as it is the one that automatically sends the remote signal to the other ReadyBright series lights.
In contrast, the regular Mr. Beams motion-activated lights will only turn themselves on if some moves in front of them in the dark.
Overall, we mainly plug in the ReadyBright base unit during hurricane season or if the weather is bad enough that a power outtage could be expected. During those times when there is a power outtage and we are home, this is an excellent system to have as it automatically lights up itself so that you can easily find it in the dark, as well as automatically sending a remote signal to other ReadyBright lights to turn themselves on.
This unit worked perfectly during Hurricane Sandy and in the snowstorm that followed as well. We use both this unit along with other ReadyBright lights and the original Mr. Beams motion activated lights both at home and in our RV.
Highly recommended.

However with an infant, when the power goes, it's hard to navigate all of that.
This item works well because it lights up and you can go towards it, you can unplug it and use it as a flashlight to help you find your way in the darkvery handy if you have to navigate stairs.
Highly recommended!

It makes me wish we had outlets near our stairwells as a safety measure.When your power goes out, it immediately lights up which will allow you to walk around without stumbling or falling over things. As soon as you unplug it, it becomes a flashlight, which does have an off and on button. The plug will fold up into a space in the body of the light. It makes an adequate flashlight to get around. While it is plugged in and your power is functioning there is a small green light to let you know it is charging.
It's a good item to keep one unhurt in power outages and helpful in those moments of sudden darkness.

Brilliant white light, installed in my RV trailer, really helps maximize light fixtures reach. The product contains two different types of adapters based on the type of plug you have. The light "bulb" part, is not attached to the electrical plug. Instead, you plug it in, a short wire connects the bulb and you use double sided foam tape to adhere the bulb to the bottom of the fixture. Seems confusing, it really isn't! It looks "cheap" with this design but it allows you to angle the bulb based on need and change electrical plug to the different adapters. No more melted light covers with these, even if you accidentally leave it on for a day. These do not get excessively hot, just a slight warmth.
