I can only assume someone made a mistake in the pricing department. 3 of these lights for $6 is a steal. The light they produce is extremely bright. I got a single spotlight with 5 times the LEDs for 10 times the price of one of these and it didn't make as much light.

If you need to light an event, these are the way to go. Need colored spot lights? Put some colored cellophane over them and you've got them.

All 3 of the lights I received worked perfectly.

Great little lights! Take 3 AAA batteries. Base of light can be screwed on or it can be stuck on. We chose to stick it on and the light base is connected to the sticky part by Velcro. These lights rotate and pivot, making it very easy (even for a 4 year old) to direct the light. Press the (one) on button once and its bright, press it again and its dim, a third time turns it off.

I bought these lights for our 4 and 5 year old's bunk bed. I needed something, that didn't get hot (burn or fire hazard) and didn't have a cord (choking hazard). Because they can direct the light themselves it makes it easy for them to adjust it while reading in bed before they fall asleep. The Velcro makes it easy for me remove the light if needed (like because they won't settle down) and makes a great bargaining tool or reward. :P

Used nightly, for several hours at a time (because they'll fall asleep with them on), batteries lasted for approximately 3 weeks. Changing the batteries is very easy. The lights themselves have held up very well for the month or so we've had them.

I would highly recommend them.

I wasn't expecting a miracle but these lights simply cannot generate the kind of light you'd need for a dark closet, for example, which is what we bought them for. The provide a minimal amount of light that is better than nothing but not a practical long term solution. I think this is true for most battery powered lights.

They work. Bright enough, the tilt and rotation feature is very handy and at six bucks for a three pack they were a great bargain.

They come with stick on backs but a few days after to put them up they fall off of glass, wood, whatever you attach them to. Not a great thing to happen in a display case with fragile items. They don't pivot much so you can only have one angle of light direction. I would not buy them again.

I bought this light because it was described as "warm white" an another site. Found it here for a little bit more money but I have Amazon Prime so I get free shipping.

Anyway, I had purchased a couple of LED bulbs from Amazon that gave off a much more blue light which I didn't like all that much. So, I purchased this "double pancake" light. I was about to remove the old fixture to put this one on and I noticed that the LED bulbs in this pancake use the same connectors as the existing light in my RV. So, I simply pulled out the bulbs and inserted them into the existing pancake fixture. They went in just fine and I like the warm light output MUCH better than those other LED bulbs I had tried previously. The light coloring is basically like the regular bulbs but use like 1/10 the electricity.

So, now I have an extra double pancake fixture. I wish I could just purchase the internal LED bulbs to save some money instead of buying the whole fixture. If Diamond Group happens to read this review, contact me if you are willing to sell me just the LED replacement bulbs without the entire fixture.

I bought these for my kitchen, but with the space, I needed something that has more of a spread, so I chose to use them in my bathroom instead, the light is good, I would say it's a bit crisper than the halogens it was replacing. I went from 65 watt Halogens to these, so they are a little dimmer, but still more than enough for the application. I'd buy again. I was hesitant with no reviews, but so far so good!

The only complaint is that they are a wee bit narrow beamed, (which is my stupidity, not the sellers, it does say "spot" in the description) meaning they have a 60 degree path of light instead of a more spread out beam. (which left my kitchen counters with shadowy areas) I'd love to find these with a 120 degree spread or better. (who knew this much about light bulbs? I'm learning now!)

There is a one second delay between when you hit the switch and the light kicks on, not a deal breaker, just takes a hot minute to get used to it!

I always look for Cree LED bulbs, since Cree was the main push behind quality, reasonable cost and development of new uses for LED bulbs. I ordered 2 types of what were supposed to be Cree bulbs from Amazon. This particular light has no indication at all on the bulb or the box that it is a Cree product, whereas the other type of LED that I ordered does have the Cree name, packaging, etc. So, I have no idea what I have. That is a problem for the consumer, since there are so many copies floating around. It is not cheap, but I will try it and see if it lasts 5 years as it is warranted.

The light is absolutely beautiful for the area, who doesn't need to see what your washing and how your preparing food. The bulbs are very stylish. I would recommend these bulbs.

This is my second time of purchasing PAR light from hitlights. Put several in the garage. It looks great. Bridgelux should be a great brand LED chip, I hope it can run at least 5 years, then don't have to replace for a while.

Pro: Great and reasonable Heat sink design.

Con: Not bright as I thought. Should increase a little for Lumen. Maybe PAR20 is only designed for small room use!

The plastic rocker on mine failed, though the underlying electrical component was fine. I tried to contact Lutron tech support via their Web form, but the site threw an error after I submitted my message. I then called their 24-hour phone support line. I waited on hold for about an hour, then their system hung up on me. I called back and tried a slightly different menu option and got a human. He promised to mail me out a couple of replacement "bezels" (the switch and slider part) and instructions for replacing one. He ended up sending me return instructions for the entire switch (wire nutted into the house and not trivial to remove).

An email to an alternative contact on the Lutron Web site achieved a response from a woman who said that she could send me replacement bezels. She did and they arrived about a week later. So the company is definitely trying to support their product. They probably should have a simple gmail address rather than rely on their Web programmers.

I learned that you should always buy a switch rated 20% higher than the wattage you are using. Also, it is important to know that if you remove a tab(Metal flange on side of switch) you will lower the wattage rating. I had to remove 1 side thus derating the switch to 800, which still covered the 600 in use. The first switch was rated at 600w and I could not touch the mounting screws on the cove plate for more than 2-3 seconds because it was so hot. I took out some lamps until I got the higher rated switch on amazon.

I have recently been searching for LED MR16 halogen replacements. Currently, we are running a large number of 50W MR16s in an always-on installation and the power bill reflects it. At 1/10th the power consumption, I was very interested in trying this Eiko. Some things to know: the main problem with most of the LED bulbs available today is either price, or output. Price can be negated pretty quickly with the cost of electricity in my area considering an always-on setting.

All in all I give this guy a 4. Light quality is good; it is warm, soft, and pleasant. However, its output at ~160 lumens compares to a 20W conventional bulb, and may or may not be bright enough for your needs (it isn't...quite...for ours). Still, it saves a bunch on bills if you can cope with that point thus I am rating it as above.

Review of Maple Lighting Dimmable PAR38 14 Watt LED 120 Degree Wide Angle

I am very happy with this light. It is bright (perhaps slightly brighter than the incandescent it replaced, even), produces a good color light, and has a very wide angle illumination. It dims better than the CFL PAR38's I also have, perhaps down to half intensity, but not as good as an incandescent. I rarely use the dimming feature but it's nice to know it won't break the light, since my switches are wired with dimmers.

The field of view is excellent. I got an early PAR38 LED from the home center and the FOV was terrible: despite the packaging, it was a spot light, which did not illuminate the room. This one has plenty of FOV, illuminating the room as it should. This is a crucial point for recessed lights used as general illumination: the FOV has to be quite wide.

The amount of light it puts out is amazing, especially since it is rated at only 14 watts (I have not measured the power consumption to verify).

In all, a highly recommended bulb... just as good as the $100 ones I got a couple of years ago at 1/3 the price. I see no downsides compared to either CFL's or incandescents for use in recessed lights. Bit of a high up front cost still but not bad if you consider lifetime costs.

I have carried a Streamlight SL-20 for 20 years as a metro police officer. A year ago, it finally came time to upgrade from incandescent to LED since the "little" LED light I carry was actually brighter than my "big" incandescent flashlight. The difference is literally night and day, the LED is probably 60% brighter than my incandescent light was when it was new. I have literally used the aluminum version in the line of duty as a pry bar, battering ram and all other things that would make the warranty department cringe.

I was so happy with the new LED that I also purchased the polymer version (this one) as a gift for mom to use around the farm. The polymer one does just fine for her needs and is lighter for her to carry as she frequently also is carrying something else to, from or around the barn while she has the flashlight to see where she is going or what she is doing. Mom is thrilled with the flashlight and uses it daily, it is bright enough to shine from her house to the barn (about 200 yards) and still see something there.

The advantage (or drawback, depending on how you look at it) of the LED light is that it doesn't dim out, when the battery is done the light just cuts off. Recharge time is fairly quick and the new style charger cuts off when the flashlight is charged.

If I had a need for a couple more of them I'd probably have half a dozen of the LED versions laying around the house.

I got my firstone of these as part of a kit, after using it a few times I bought two more! I operate a small airport and I find them very useful while repairing and inspecting aircraft, I keep one on my fuel truck so I can set it down and light up my work while I'm refueling airplanes. The heavy base and flex shaft make it easy to put light where you want it. This light eliminates the need for a second person (not always one around) to hold a flashlight and frees up both your hands for the task at hand (no pun intended). A great light, and with Amazon's new lower price a great buy!

Best Deals for DEWALT DW919 18-Volt Flexible Floodlight

I got this when I began working on a rental house owned by my mother. This was very useful because it let me work at night when I'd otherwise have to shut down. The use of common batteries with the other Dewalt 18V tools is what makes it so useful.

I use it as an area light, bouncing off light-colored walls to light up an entire room (and it is a little dim for this). I still carry a flashlight as a backup and I'd recommend the same to anyone using it at night, since you may knock it over, plywood may fall on it, et cetera. It can be used for task lighting. I suspect that the other Dewalt 18V flashlight might be better for that, though.

The design of the light, with the flexible neck, lets you set it up in all kinds of positions. The advice given in another review set it on its side should be taken to heart, as I think that's the most reliable way to use it. Setting the light on the battery base and extending the neck can make it unstable.

But this is a very useful light which can be used in many, many ways. I think that, because it's so useful, one is tempted to use it just a little bit beyond its ability to balance itself. With that caveat, highly recommended.

I am a huge fan of DeWalt products and own a dozen or so DeWalt tools. This light was a disappointment. If you want to use the battery as a base and point the lamp at something the flexible shaft can't retain it's position. Worse yet, as the light starts to sag the whole thing can topple. The problem is the flexible shaft is not very stiff. The light output is very bright and remains charged for a long time.

The Dewalt DW919 is an excellent device in the wide, wide world of flashlights. It's bright and very convenient to use when you need both hands to be free to work. I bought it as a Christmas gift for a friend who had been wanting one for a while. He's thrilled with it. I think, though, that this is a rather expensive device in its own right before you have to purchase the expensive 18 volt battery that makes it work. (Note, the battery does not come with it!) If you already have Dewalt or Black and Decker devices that use this battery, however, you're in good shape--especially if you own more than one such battery.

These have been very effective and their 15 second time-on in my application (illuminating a closet) is perfect. As long as I'm rummaging around in the closet they stay on, or cycle so rapidly they work as long as I need them to. I chose to mount them with Velcro so I could move them around to find the best location for them. This has really worked out well for me. The swivel-action of the units is also very, very handy. I received one of them that was defective, but their customer service immediately arranged for a replacement to be sent to me. These have really spurred my imagination and I am looking for other applications around the house for additional units.

We don't have any electrical power at our garden cottage and I got one of these for the interior of the cottage. (The fact that they deliver to Romania was also a big deciding factor)

First off, installation. It is extremely easy to install. Straight out of the box and onto the wall. Simple.

The trickiest part of this is the little solar panel, if you don't set it up properly to gain full benefit from the sun, then it is not going to charge to well.

There is a little green glowing button on the "light sabre" which indicates the on/off switch. If you press this button then the top 3 LED lights come on and you can use the "light sabre" as a torch. If you press the green glowing button again, the 7 LED lights on the side light up. It gives off a fairly decent light. Once again, we couldn't read books with this light, but the cottage is lit up enough to get around and do whatever is necessary.

It looks quite stylish and the "light sabre" is detachable so we can take it and move outside with light if necessary.

All in all, it is a nice little product but the light strength is dependant on the solar panel placement.

Would I purchase another one of these? It would be my second or third option if I had to make a choice. That being said, I am very happy with it.

The first thing you will notice about these lights will be the lightweight wiring. It seems to be 18 gauge.. which is pretty flimsy in my opion. One of the lights was lose so i had to remove the bottom plate to snug up the nut holding the light in place. It appeared to be less than waterproof but we will see. I noticed at that time the the joints in the wires were covered very lose rubber sleeves. they may be heat shrinks but they were not heated or shrunken. so the joints were very lose and not very profesional looking. When i attempted to hook them up the second time to check them, they would not burn at all. I pulled out the old multimeter and checked them. The female part of the 4 prong plug was dead short. I cut the plug off and replaced it with a spare one I had and they worked. I also firmed up all the wire joints and taped them over the rubber sleeves. I would not purchase these again or recommend them to anyone else. I am going to attempt to tow my vehicle using them, I only hope I don't pull over and buy some replacements.

Lights work well and are nice and bright. Only complaint is to install this on trailer, the wiring harness must go down the right side of trailer rather than the left side. Vehicle plugs are all on left or drivers side as every trailer I have ever seen wired. You lose a little bit of length in the crossover, but otherwise, good lights.
