I ordered two of these lamps to replace a couple of very old torchiere lamps. They look quite attractive, and most importantly they get the job done. So far both work perfectly, giving light that ranges from soft at the lowest setting to very bright for my little living room at the highest setting. (I should note that I prefer my lights to be relatively low, so your mileage may vary.)
Assembly was very easy, basically just screwing the segments together while pulling the power cord out from the base. I had no problem at all doing it alone. I did find it easier to start with the top of the lamp and work downwards, rather than starting from the bottom as the instructions said. They come with one 18 watt and one 26 watt bulb. Replacement bulbs seem to be widely available online, including from Amazon, for a reasonable price.
The only potential problem is that the two bulbs seem to have a noticeably different color temperature I'm far from an expert in these things but I do notice a difference in the quality of light when using the 3-way switch. This doesn't bother me but it might annoy some people. **Edit: I now realize this isn't true the change in light that I noticed was because of the positioning of the two bulbs. Sorry about that!

The Lamp is okay for the price. I bought it to have a lamp that used energy efficient light bulbs. The description stated that the lamp would include bulbs so that the lamp could be used immediately. The lamp requires two bulbs that work together to create the 3-way effect. One of the bulbs was not included. There seems to be no option to make a claim and get the bulb without sending the lamp back. Another purchaser had said that this happened to them as well. The seller needs to create a mechanism to follow up and make sure the buyer receives all parts as promised in the description. Without the bulb, this product is another item that needs attention. I have enough of those.

I work from home now full time, and the incandescent ceiling and desk top lighting was not optimal. This fluorescent Torchiere takes very little energy for very good, soft, but bright light. Easy to assemble, and a good quality product for the money.

This lamp was perfect for my dark bedroom. It assembled in minutes. Couldn't have been easier and I couldn't be more satisfied. I suppose if you want a drastic dimmer, though, you might be dissatisfied. It has three settings which are only slightly different than each other.

I've had $19.00 halogen torchieres that were way better made that this piece of junk. The top reflector/refractor is made of cheap plastic that warped after about 30 minutes use.
Instead of screwing together, the middle pieces of the stem are insert and turn 1/8 rotation, making it impossible to pick up the lamp by the stem without it falling apart.
The two included CFL light bulbs describe themselves as being the equivalent of 100 watt and 75 watt incandescent bulbs. I've got 60 watt bulbs in the basement that put out more light than these two bulbs together.
I can't tell you how much I DON'T recommend this lamp. This is definitely not one of those situations in which something less expensive turns out to be a great deal.
