This was a gift for my Mom for Mother's Day and she really enjoys it. My Mom collects art in her yard and I was looking for something that moved. This was available at other garden and bird stores online for $60 to $120. As other reviewers said, it did come in a couple of pieces, but it wasn't a big deal to assemble and it sits in my parents' backyard and catches the wind just fine. Their yard is protected on all sides by trees, large fences and plants.
The piece is a lot lighter weight than I thought it would be and smaller, but it is still a substantial piece. The globe piece in the middle does not glow in the dark, but is a nice accent.
Without any prodding the two wheels seem to catch the wind and spin separately, even on a normal wind day.

Love this wind wheel but it needed alot of re-working to get it to work correctly. The blades had to be tilted more to catch the wind. Also weights had to be added so the wheels would turn when the wind caught the blades. The wheels have to be facing the wind in order to spin.Best Deals for Echo Valley 4351 45-Inch Illuminarie Dual Motion Wind Wheel
This is a nice looking piece but it does not spin...I think the wind would have to be above 30 mph for it to work...kinda of disappointed.Honest reviews on Echo Valley 4351 45-Inch Illuminarie Dual Motion Wind Wheel

Is this ICE Lava Lamp as cool as a regular Lava Lamp? Well, no -what could be? After all, the original Lava Lamp has been an object of fascination since the sixties, with its truly random and mesmerizing interaction of colored wax and oil.
But this ICE LL is a nice color-phasing LED lamp in the shape of the iconic groovinator.
We'll see how reliable the ICE proves to be; the electronic plasma LL was DREADFUL. I received several units DOA, and the one that did work out of the box died in a few months.
Happily the ICE seems to be more solidly built. You can set it to phase through various colors, sometimes a single red, blue, or green, other times a combination of these tints, creating additional pastels. Or you can set the lamp to glow pure white, perhaps to light a ceremonial occasion of some sort!
But I like the ICE better than the color-phasing LED tube it replaced on my cabinet, as the "ICE" crystals give the colors added depth and interest.
One thing the ICE offers over the original LL is instant operation -no hour warm-up required! And no incandescent bulbs to replace either...
I'll report back when and if the ICE malfunctions. In the meantime I consider it an enjoyable addition to my collection of color-phasing accent lamps, and I think you will too.
OTHER GROOVY ACCENT LAMPS TO CONSIDER:
* Supernova Color Changing Sphere -frosted plastic ball containing LEDs and a motorized rotating mirror
* Illumicube -64 LEDs light up in a half-hour show -dazzling, though early adopters reported quality problems
* Lava Glitter Lamp
* Original Lava Lamp
* Lumisource Electra Sculptured Plasma Lamp
Lights are not as pretty as the picture looks (they are more saturated, less mixed)
Packaging was pretty cool too.
There is a slight blemish on the base were the silver coating did not quite stick or got dinked. Maybe a little better QA by the manufacturer going forward would be nice? Still, for the price this was worth it.

This met all my expectations and then some. It is hypnotizing to watch it and at the same time very relaxing. The description was not quite accurate in that it under-described the lamp and its beauty. The colors are pure and intense, not at all muddy. I'd love to buy one for every one of my friends. Heck, I'd even buy them for my enemies if I had any, they would be to busy watching the lamp to cause any trouble.Reviews of Iparty123 Pretty Lady Quinceanera LED Light Up Figurine Party Home

This is a very powerful, compact flashlight that has some very good features:
It's small, about the size of a soft drink can.
Although it accepts 4 18650 Lithium-Ion batteries it will operate on one, two, three or four.
Each of the 18650 batteries are loaded in the same orientation "button top" towards the emitters. Easier to change in the dark.
The output is very bright with good throw but more of a floodlight beam than searchlight.
The only down side I can see with the unit I received is that the cooling fins have sharp edges. I could see a problem if the light is not handled carefully. I would subtract 1/2 star for this reason if possible.
Overall I believe this to be a good value for the price.
The construction is solid. The beam is a little uneven, but it doesn't really matter. No instructions at all. Attaching the the laniard is a puzzle.

While I don't really think that this flashlight is 4000 lumens, it is very bright. If you want to be able to light up your path or back yard, this will do it very well. It has a decent throw but is much more of a flood light than a spotlight. Mine came with no papers at all no instructions, no warranty information or anything. The battery compartment has no markings to show you the proper way to install the four 18650 batteries. If you know that the negative or flat end always goes toward the springs, you can figure it out for yourself. This flashlight is not very complicated to use as you press the switch you go from HIGH to LOW to OFF. The only negative is that you cannot go directly from HIGH to OFF. Also there is no momentary on. You press and hold the switch for STROBE. It seems to be fairly well built but time will be the judge of that. On HIGH this light is so bright that after a short time it will attract bugs just like a car's headlight. I guess that you could consider that a 5 star rating by the bugs.Honest reviews on SecurityIng® Skyray King Super Bright 3X CREE XM-L T6 LED 4000Lm

I did an initial bite of four of these bulbs to test in various places around my house, to see in what applications I could use them. I have a wide variety of light fixtures, so I was able to test these bulbs in a lot of different situations. Here's how they fared:
1. Bathroom lighting (sticking out of the wall above the mirror) 4.5/5
I replaced all four of the 50 watt round incandescent bulbs that came with the house for this test. I was worried that the 180 degree luminance would be insufficient in this fixture (not lighting the wall enough), but it is surprisingly good. 3000K color is better than 2700K in my opinion; it gives a more natural appearance to my skin without coming close to appearing cold. It would be slightly better if these bulbs were omnidirectional, as you can see that the wall is slightly dimmer, but it still functions very well. Do note that they output twice as much light as a 50 watt incandescent; if you have a large number of low wattage bulbs in your scenario, this bulb may be too bright. So even though the bulb works by design in this situation, I'll be looking for one that's not as bright.
2. Kitchen: recessed down lighting 5/5
This is where the bulbs truly excel due to their 180 degree luminance. They're superbly bright and the color is again very pleasing. With these bulbs, I can provide my kitchen with higher quality light in a larger volume while using only 36 watts instead of 260.
3. Closet: non-recessed, frost globe pointing down from ceiling 5/5
This bulb works excellently here. The light shines strongly through the globe, just as the 65W incandescent that came before it in my house did. Toward the ceiling is slightly dimmer due to the 180 degree luminance, but it doesn't matter at all in this location.
4. Hallway: horizontal with respect to the ceiling, one bulb 3/5
These fixtures I have mount the bulb parallel to the ceiling. The result is that this bulb, not being omnidirectional, cannot light everything, so you end up with obvious shadows in certain parts of the hall. It's still usable, as the shadowing is strongest on the ceiling, and the light spreads to the floor better, but the effect is not ideal. Unfortunately, I'll have to find another bulb for this situation.
5. Bedroom: horizontal with respect to the ceiling, two bulbs in opposite directions 4/5
These fixtures are just like #4, but with two bulbs facing opposing directions. The bulbs work better here since you have two opposing directions of light adding up to basically 360 degrees. However, in my situation the bulbs' luminous areas don't cross, so you end up with lines of strong shadows on the ceiling. Not ideal, but it still works.
Overall, these bulbs have excellent light quality in most situations. They're a great value in lumens per dollar, and they have the lifetime warranty. Further, they have the highest efficiency I've yet seen in LEDs for my home: 100 lumens per watt (I've seen as low as a meager 45). If they'll work in your application, look no further!

The light output is fantastic; Very bright and a nice color.
The metal heat collar acts as a heatsync, and gets too hot to touch. My infrared thermometer reads 115F.
My one complaint is this emits an audible buzzing. Using this in a swinging desk lamp, I can clearly hear a buzzing while sitting at my desk.
This product advertises itself as for desklamps, but if you have any average hearing you may notice a buzz. It is constant and can really grate on you.
Would not recommend for desk lamps. I will repurpose this to a ceiling light, but I am still disappointed.
Update 01/30/2013: re-upgraded back to 4 stars
G7 support was gracious to send me six new bulbs to replace the ones that buzzed (about a month after I contacted them last year). I apologize that I haven't had a chance to update this review, but I have since purchased more of their updated bulbs, and am happy to say that they have resolved the buzzing in the new bulbs. I have noticed that the newer bulbs are slightly more yellow in color than the original ones, but that is of minor consequence compared to the buzzing. Good customer service and product improvement.
Update 05/10/2012: downgraded from five stars to one star (LISTEN TO VIDEO)
Out of the seven bulbs that I've purchased, six of them have unbearably loud buzzingso loud that I replaced them with CFL's again. There was very slight buzzing when I first installed them, but they have gotten progressively louder over this past month. They've been put on our outdoor fixtures now, as they give me a headache indoors (not exaggerating). Turn up your audio and listen to the video to judge for yourselves. Contacted G7 support but no reply, and unfortunately past my return date. Waste of money for pricey bulbs that I can't actually use.. Purchase with caution, as these bulbs are advertised as 'No Buzz' on the packaging. False claims if some of them do in fact buzz. Read through the rest of the reviews, and you'll find that this is not an uncommon issue. Need some better quality control.
Original review 03/27/2012: five stars
These are instantly bright unlike our CFLs which take a while to warm up. CFL life span is also reduced with constant on/off activity, i.e. turning the lights on for only a little while, then turning them off (like our hallways lights). But LEDs do not suffer from that reduced life span when used for short periods of time throughout the day. So, this LED light removes those disadvantages, while saving even more electricity. Nice bright light (slightly brighter than our 15W CFLs), not too white, but just warm enough. Subjectively, I think the LED lighting looks better and more like natural sunlight than the off-yellow color from our CFLs. The only negative about these LED bulbs is the price.. but that price will come down the more that you purchase! Plus, no more mercury, and no more glass. These LED bulbs remove those safety hazards as well. Welcome to the future of lightingI'd buy these to replace all 40 of our CFLs in our recessed lights if I could afford to do so.. But for now, one at a time as the CFLs go out.

I wanted to try out an LED bulb, and chose this one based on price. I don't have any measurement equipment, but subjectively agree with Mike's earlier comments. It's a bright white light, certainly equivalent to a regular 75 watt bulb (maybe even 85?). I used it to replace a 75w CFL flood....the LED goes on immediately, gives more light, runs cooler, and doesn't have my CFL's yellowish tinge. It works in a dimmer set to near full on, but just binary (on/off). I'm not sure what a lifetime guarantee really means (practically speaking), but I bought two more of these bulbs anyway.Buy SUPERNIGHT (TM) 5M/16.4 Ft SMD 3528 RGB 300 LED Color Changing Kit

Works great, plug and play which was perfect for me, a gift for a teen's room. I didn't know the finer details, so I'll explain for those in the same boat as me. These lights are "3528" which means each bulb is a separate single color, alternating red, green, blue. So the remote has buttons for a bunch of other colors, but you don't have them. You still get the strobe etc. effects on the remote, but only with those three color options. If you want to be able to have all the different colors, you want "50-50" LED lights. These lights will have all three (red, blue, green) bulbs in one housing, thus being able to create tons of different shades. Also, the remote only works when pointed at the receiver, so it has to be mounted in a visible place. Good product, no complaints other than not knowing what the "3528" meant.Best Deals for SUPERNIGHT (TM) 5M/16.4 Ft SMD 3528 RGB 300 LED Color Changing Kit

I think this is a wonderful alternative to halogen lamps which are too hot and can be a fire hazard.
we have a pair on our night standsPerfect light-This light is beautiful. It is very sleek. The base is nice and heavy, it doesn't shift or feel cheap. The lamp gives off great light. I love it and would buy it again. It was shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition.

* Powerful (90 lumen) LED flashlight, extremely bright.
* Takes 3 AAA batteries, lasts hours, and hours (9.5) of continuous use.
* Turn upside down and point to ceiling, and will light up a room off of ceiling. Great during blackouts.
* This flashlight is of high quality.
* Heavy duty aluminum and they are tough (accidentally ran over with my car, still works great, no damage), and dropped on rocks and concrete.
* Water resistant. O-rings on the battery and lamp compartments, as well as a rubber membrane on/off switch on the end helps to keep water out.
* Length measures about 5", and diameter about 1.25" Weights 4.8 oz. with batteries installed.
* Front of light can be used for protection, not sharp but rippled edge put a pretty good dent in wood.
Coleman can't make them fast enough. I own 4 going back 6 years, all still working. Don't let the "Made in China" throw you; this one they got right!
I'm back ordering one now as a gift. Only way to guarantee you'll get one.
No, I do not work for Coleman.

I bought some of these prior to Hurricane Sandy, so they happened to be loaded with AAA batteries, ready and waiting when that storm and the next one hit. Being without power for more than a week, we gave these a workout and came away loving them. They are incredibly bright flashlights that run on batteries I always have around (AAA). They are blindingly bright, and I had to get used to how bright they were in order to use them to read things. You can easily stand them up on the butt end to illuminate a room -they are fantastic for that purpose, working better than lanterns I had going. I won't buy flashlights anymore that don't have a wrist loop, and these come with the the loop already attached. My one complaint is that the on/off button is on the butt end and not so easy to manipulate without using two hands. But everything else is so overwhelmingly wonderful, I cannot deduct a star for it. I bought more of these to keep on hand, plus a dozen to give as gifts. The other "flashlight" I came to love during the Sandy power outages was an LLBean Pathfinder LED Cap, which has three levels of light in a baseball cap. It lets you find your way in the dark hands free (or allows you to illuminate work in a dark, hard to see spot). I highly recommend both items.Best Deals for Coleman High-Power Aluminum LED Flashlight
I like to have a good flashlight with me and have several led lights of differing sizes. I currently have this light rated at 95 lumens and a TerraLUX rated at 220 lumens. One of the manufacturers is off because they are the same brightness. Here is the difference, they are both great flashlights, the TerraLUX has a wider beam that is a more yellow natural light, and this Coleman has a tighter light the is a very white light. Both are equally bright, but this Coleman appears brighter and you can see it farther than the TerraLUX because of the whiter light. They both have their pros and cons, the pro for the TerraLUX is that it has two modes, one less bright, and the Coleman is super bright and piercing. If you are looking for a super bright inexpensive light, buy this now. The only drawback I have seen is that it is so bright, if you are using it at night you can't shine it directly on things close up because it is almost surreally blinding. If you are a mechanic or a tradesman that needs extra light during the day for tight spaces, this is absolutely perfect.Honest reviews on Coleman High-Power Aluminum LED Flashlight

Compact flashlight with strong beam. It also came with AAA batteries which will be easy to replace. Lights up a whole room and has great beam distance outdoors. Good quality for the price.Buy GE Lighting 64130 Energy Smart LED 13-Watt (60-watt replacement)

I purchased three of these light for our chandelier in our dining room. These light are replacing GE Reveal Incandescent lights. The LEDs are installed behind opaque glass, and have no problem emitting light downward. the light is warm and bright. Very Satisfied with the LED's.

been told by the customer service that is the way it is and there is nothing to do about it
It also has a bright red LED on the bottom to indicate when it's detection motion which otherwise stays on constantly. It's so bright that it projects about a 1' red spot on the wall at night.
Terrible performance, and you can't turn off the LED light. I'll be returning this junky sensor.
Update April/2011 in hindsight I may have over taxed the allowable wattagg of this unit. I wanted it to activate a six bay carport W/six 80 watt florescent lamps. When florescent lamp ballasts activate, they draw more current than the bulbs themselves and may have been why this unit quit, live and learn.

I had this installed by a master electrician, he could not get it to work except on the test mode despite much trial, and I have had no better success after a week. Will have to replace it with a better quality device.Best Deals for Cooper Lighting MS180 180 Degree Replacement Motion Security
I didn't have a problem with leaves triggering this unit, but I did have an issue with lack of sensitivity. The unit claims to work up to 70', but actually would only turn on around 15'. Detection is good inside that range. It also has a bright red LED on the bottom to indicate when it's detection motion which otherwise stays on constantly. It's so bright that it projects about a 1' red spot on the wall at night.

Really works well. The color isn't blue, more of a true white light. We have two in our outdoor motion lights and they're great. the light spread is even and covers a decent area radius.
I really wanted to like this one because the price was right and the quality looked good. I believe from a a lighting perspective the bulb is very good with a nice warm light (I purchased the "warm white" variety) that is plenty bright. My complaints with this one are two fold:
1. The bulb has a noticeable delay in start-up. Even if all six were of this brand I really think it would bother me.
2. Like so many LED floods it has a look to it that is hard to get used to, and the light is dispersed too narrowly, not like the par 38's I am used to.
I could deal with the latter issue but not the delay in start-up so I ultimately returned it. My search has ended when I came across the "Feit Electric Conserv-Energy Dimmable BR40 LED 17 Watt Flood Light Bulb 100 Watt Equivalent Replacement" which is also currently sold at Costco. It is a par 40, looks more like a typical flood, starts up well, dims nicely, is very bright and seems very well made.
Moral of the story you may want to research LED lights if you have a specific dimmer switch you are working with. I wish the description for this product didn't have a generic "works with Lutron" statement.
About the lights themselves...
1) VERY bright they are blinding to look directly at.
2) Somewhat directional they do fan out, but not as much as a normal or CFL bulb.
3) I got the cool white and it is very pure, sterile white. My family sat under them a few minutes and didn't like them. If I were to do it over again, I'd probably buy the warm white.
None of these are really negative just sharing some thoughts. I wanted white and bright, and that is what I got.
Quality seems solid and price seems decent.

I have tried a few different par 38 and par 40 LED flood light bulbs in my kitchen. We have six cannisters and tend to leave them a lot during the evening hours and early morning. Therefore dimmable LED's made a lot of sense for the potential savings alone.I really wanted to like this one because the price was right and the quality looked good. The description said it works with Lutron dimmers, but it doesn't work with mine. I have a 600W Lutron Maestro IR Dimmer powering 4 light sockets. I replaced the lights one by one. With 3 LED lights and one normal 60W bulb (about 108 watts) it worked. As soon as I unscrewed the last 60W bulb, the Lutron dimmer went into error mode (lights flash every 2 seconds). I screwed in the 4th LED light, but the problem kept happening. So, somewhere between 64 watts (the four LED lights) and 108 watts (3 LED + 60W bulb), my dimmer decides the load is too low. After doing some research, Lutron does make a lower power LED dimmer, but it won't work for me (doesn't support an IR remote).Moral of the story you may want to research LED lights if you have a specific dimmer switch you are working with. I wish the description for this product didn't have a generic "works with Lutron" statement.

I have this in a ceiling pot/down light. I'm slowly replacing the CFLs with LEDs and this product so far has been spot on. As bright as the incandescent it replaced, instant-on and consistent light.
