I had 2 20w halogen lamps over my 40"tv's stand , very nice for indirect lighting. I was looking for led to cut my electric bill, but reading others reviews, led technology seemed just starting, because color generally is too white (not ideal for home), and focus was too narrow. So, I bought couple Philips led MR16 lights, 2700 color temperature degrees, and liked a lot. Same color and focus than my halogens' ones. After that, I found others Philips lamps with others voltages. The tip is: for house 2700 color temperature, 20w halogen lampsreplace with Philips 4w lamps, 50w halogen lampsreplace with Philips 10w or 11w lamps. Now I'm replacing all my halogen lamps (par30, mr16, par20, etc.). Look for words: Ambientled, Enduraled and Masterled. For general purposes, you can use only 2 4w lamps, for whole room (PHILIPS 40875-7 4Watt LED MR16 12V GU5.3 Base Warm White 2700K 24°) . For specific tasks, as reading a book, use only 1 4w lamp.

Craftsman Cordless Rechargeable Work Light with 35 LED Lights Review
Although my dog has chewed off my magnet, this light is still the best. It has the option for the side lights or the top light (like a flashlight) or both. The battery has a great life making it pretty bright and it has been very convenient. I will likely buy 2-3 more when it goes back on sale.

I received this as a gift, I love tools and I always like Craftsman tools, the quality and the price can't be beat. This is a rechargeable work light, like the old-fashioned kind I had in my garage, except there is no cord, and no incandescent bulb to break. It has both AC and DC adapters, NiMH batteries (better than NiCad but not quite up to Lithium-Ion level, but more than adequate), and it's bright, handy, and seems quite durable. It has a swivel hangar, a magnet for hanging on your car, and a spotlight at one end that allows it to double as a flashlight. Really cool for the tool bench. I bought two of these a year ago for dusk-to-dawn lighting on my farm. Both were installed by a professional licensed electrician. One worked for 3 weeks before the bulb burned out, and the other for 6 months, going bad in cold winter weather. Compared to the old mercury fixtures I used at my previous farm that worked reliably for years on end, these are bitter disappointments. Read the fine print. They won't start at temperatures below 30 degrees, and they are made in China despite the name Lights of America. Today I bought two replacement bulbs ($10 each), and neither works at all! I don't know if it's faulty bulbs or the fixtures themselves or the photocells, but I advise spending more money and buying a better quality product with a longer lifespan--and made in America if you can find one!
The savings in electricity won't compensate for the short life, high bulb replacement costs, aggravation of going up and down the ladder often, and overall poor quality of this product.

Until these folks come up with a longer life bulb, any energy savings will be lost on the cost of replacement of a very short lived bulb and expensive bulb replacement. NOwhere in the literature is the anticipated life of the bulb stated, listed, specified , or advertised. Why? because thats where the savings end. At between $10-13 replacement per year, over 50% of the total fixture cost, the green idea translates to reducing the green in your wallet. Other fluorescent tube types such as T12 and T8 are built for lengthy service with similar ,now digital ballasts. Not so , with this LOA product. Its designed to put the green in their pockets...not yours. So, once again its Caveat Emptor. A great idea soured by the greed for profit. For me, its back to the dependable and long lived sodium halide 75Watt by Regent or others. Those savings by not having to frequently climb the dusk to dawn ladder for frequent replacement outweigh any potential upfront savings. I've been using this spotlight for 2 years. It's just as just as bright now as when I got it. But I'll probably go ahead and change the batteries after winter. When the rechargeable batteries need replacing, they're relatively easy to get to.
I haven't modified it in any way, as I haven't found a reason to, despite what the other reviewer claims. It was simple to set up. And to move it takes all of 15 seconds. The other reviewer is also implying it could catch on fire, which would be next to impossible since it uses extremely low voltage, 1/4 of what a 12 volt landscaping system or pod/fountain light uses. There is no danger getting this wet. This individual doesn't understand basic electronics. If water happened to hit the wires, they'll be fine. It's sunlight and UV exposure that does the most damage to wires when they're outside.
I was so impressed with how incredibly bright and the quality it is, that I bought some for my folks too, a year and a half ago.

This light is everything that they say it is, it lights up my American Flag like no other solar light I've been able to get my hands on, however when I was still in testing stage with it (pointed at about 45deg angle from ground) I found that after a good rain this thing collected the water in it's base. It did this before pointing it up at 90deg like I have it now for my flag which would have made it even worse. This light has a lip all the way around it, which will collect rain water, and that water will make it's way into the light enclosure (although, less of a lip than many other lights). Get enough water in this unit and it will short out your wiring for the LEDs which would in turn likely fry the batteries (or worse).I have carefully modified the light using "Amazing Goop" and put a water proof seal both on the inside and outside of the light. The rain water does still collect at the top around the lip, but this keeps the water from getting inside of it which would destroy this outstanding light.
Overall, this light is PERFECT if you are trying to light a flag that is mounted on your house. Just weather proof it first because the as-shipped construction is not enough!

I just turned the switch on my light last night after letting it sit in the sun for two days as indicated in the instructions. I pointed it up against the side of my detached garage and lights it up and the small fruit trees in a bright light blue hue. When you come down the street the back yard is all lit up like an Alien has landed or crashed in the back. My wife and kids say its too bright but I love it. It would be the right light for a flag pole. I will probably buy another 2 after I do my wood shake roof to light up the front of the house. I purchased five of these solar lights for a large (eighty feet) perennial flower garden. Three of the lights work fine. They all come on a dusk and have a nice bright light. The plastic stake which adheres to the light is very cheap and does not adhere to the light without a bit of glue placed in the threads. Two of the lights did not work at all. One was returned with the company making sure that I had included every speck of bubble wrap and all the instructions. Guess they planned to ship it off to another customer and needed all the wrapping. The replacement light that they sent me seemed marvelous for the first week, but now does not come on at dusk, or anytime for that matter. It is not worth the hassle of sending it back. This is a good solar/LED landscape light, but how I would rate it and how you should evaluate whether to buy it should really be done on a relative scale. Here is what I mean:In terms of a solar/LED landscape light this is a 5 star item. I have tried many different solar powered landscape lights over the years and this is by far the best I've seen. It is sturdily built, the light housing is metal, the solar panel seems to be of high quality. This is not like the dinky $15 solar lights I've bought at the big box stores over the years that are all plastic, have a small panel and barely put out any light. For a solar light, this puts out a lot of light (the important part being FOR A SOLAR LIGHT.)
In terms of an overall landscape light, this is a 3 star item. I have an existing low voltage landscape lighting system with halogen bulbs. I bought this light for an upper part of my yard that is not wired for low voltage. There is a huge difference between the quality and strength of the light from my traditional 20W halogen low voltage fixtures and this one. The light is bright white with a slight blue tint to it vs. the warm white/yellow of the halogen bulbs. In terms of brightness, if the halogen low voltage lights are a "10" on a scale of 1 to 10 brightness, the light provided by this fixture is about a 5.
Bottom line, if you are looking for a solar/LED landscape light and accept the fact that the light will be quite a bit different (in terms of strength and color) from a halogen/low voltage fixture, you will probably be happy with this light. If you are looking for the same quality light as a low voltage/halogen fixture in a solar/LED package, this isn't it, and frankly I don't think that exists anywhere as yet.

...but that wasn't exactly its fault. I want to provide some information (especially since there is no existing review for this product), but please understand that I'm not technical and take into consideration that because of that I had to return the product and haven't really 'used' it.We were looking for a nice, green Exit light that would be self-contained (power and light), would attach directly to the wall from the back, and was at the 'right' price (since this is purely for novelty and decoration, not as a safety need).
While this description says wall, side, and top, as best I could tell from the limited instructions and design you can only mount from the sides or top, not from the back. (Again, maybe I did something wrong but I there are specifically placed holes that work with the mount, and they were only on the top and sides.)
As far as design goes, very nice and very sturdy just very limited instructions so make sure you have a basic understanding of where those wires go. :)

Built-in LED lights are clearly the way to go. The lamp looks sturdy and weatherproof, although I need to put a bead of caulking around the base before the rainy season starts. Installation instructions were too small to make sense of, but it was easy to figure out. The mounting hardware is very adjustable.
The light level is what I expected. It's not like a spot light, which I have on the other side of the garage. The LEDs themselves all point down, but the crackle glass distributes their light more broadly.

NEBO Redline Bikelight 220 Lumens 4X Ajustable Quick Release Reviews
At first, I was very excited about the Nebo Redline. It provided quite a bit more light than my Planet Bike Blaze 1 watt. I thought the design and construction were well executed, though the complaints about the cheap plastic piece up front are warranted.
The problem is that the run time on high is not even close to 4 hours. I would put it at closer to 1.5 hours, if that. I had hoped it was possibly a bad LED, but all three of my redlines have similar run times.
To run an LED of this brightness, the batteries are being taxed, ie. drawing a lot of current. For this reason, you will see on the nebo packaging not to use rechargeable batteries, because NiMh batteries run at 1.2V while alkaline batteries run at 1.5V. So in series three AAA alkalines can provide 4.5V and rechargeables only 3.6V. For the redline, this makes a big difference in brightness and run-time. Also, even with alkalines, depleting the batteries so fast tends to accentuate any differences or defects in batteries, so that one battery tends to be exhausted before the other two have.
So all in all, I would rather have had my Blaze 1 watt powered by two rechargeable AAs. Or, better yet, finally buy a light powered by a rechargeable lithium battery pack.
the fraking piece of BRITTLE PLASTIC THAT IS MOUNTED TO THE LIGHT HOUSING IS CRAP!!! The mount is designed so you can slide the light off the mount, well the plastic plate that is screwed to the flashlight housing itself is JUNK, insanely brittle broke off both ends first time I took it off, just crumbled in my hand. Not sure why for a mount that basically costs $10 (the light by itself is $25ish) they couldnt put a decent type of plastic on the plate for the light itself. If they did that would be 4-4.5 stars worthy for the price. Got 2 stars cause light is nice but now I gotta figure out hwo to keep it from sliding forward or back in the mount. Center is still there for the moment...see how long before that breaks. Got one whole use outta it and now having to sort this all out AGAIN so I can night ride.
The other issue I have is the design of the battery compartment, it has 2 weak springs in it and when traveling over any kind of rough surface fades in and out, turns on and off all by itself, easy fix is to put a coin between the battery holder and the end cap, but it was a little scary finding out the light wanted to do it's own thing, in the middle of evening traffic.

The product says it will las 4hours/8hours thats true but NOT WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF POWER, so less ligh until you get a dim light. I think you can get an hour and a half maybe of full power. Strobe function also just works well if your baterry are fully charged. This product has a big flaw, if it falls off, it brakes. Yes, its aluminum but some genius added to de design a red plastic ring so it will glow when you turn on the light, but yeah you read well is plastic, so it easily breaks on falling, like mine. OK so wishing I had bought this here so I could return it. I did not purchase my Nebo Redline Bikelight through Amazon. That said, it is a EXCELLENT light. I purchased this light to mount on my recumbent trike. The light is well constructed and appears to be water resistant. The light can be adjusted from a beam to flood. Although the 220 lumens provides adequate light to trike at dusk, I may mount a second one for night triking. I typically use the light in strobe mode, often during daylight and always at night, as it provides adequate light, catches the attention of drivers, joggers and other cyclers, and provides up to 72 hours of light. The mount securely attaches to my trike. The quick release is secure and allows the light to be easily removed from the mount. To demonstrate how well the light is constructed, yesterday I was involved in a crash while avoiding a car that failed to stop at a stop sign. The light took a full force hit which scarred the metal on the front of the light and broke the plastic part where the light engages the mount. The light still works perfectly I hope Nebo can replace the plastic part that broke. If not, this will make an excellent light for hunting and camping. I have ordered one for my wifes trike. Best Amerelle 75207 LED Peter Penguin Night Table Safety Light, Black Deals
The idea of this night light is great. It lightly glows orange, and can also be taken off it's base, making it portable and glowing a bright LED light. The LED light is very bright, which makes for easy maneuvering around the house at night. However, when the penguin is on it's base with the orange light, it doesn't seem to provide enough light to my kids' room at night. It's a good idea, but just not bright enough when on its base.
HOWEVERbe aware that you should open the package straight away and test it out as soon as you receive this product. I have never had this problem before, but 2 of the nightlights I bought from Amazon simply don't light up (and as I said, I have bought them for over 5 years now from different sources). I usually buy a few, put them in a drawer, and wait until the natural life span of the light just wears outwhich honestly has been anywhere from a few months to over a year. It really seems to vary with the individual lights. But NEVER have I had one not work at all; not until I purchased from Amazon, and since I didn't test them out immediately, my "return window" has expired and I'm out $20. I feel like I've been burned on this one!

My kids love these night lights and have used them for years, literally. I have bought probably 20 of them over the years from different places and was happy to find them on Amazon finally (it was getting difficult to find them locally, and the kids really do love them). I am very happy with these lights and the light they provide under our kitchen cabinets and I would recommend them without hesitation.
I installed a total of 17 lights in our kitchen. (I bought this pack and then additional sets of lights, a power supply, and dimmer from them directly.) I have two circuits of lights each running off a dimmer tied to switches on the wall.
Pros:
low profile lights so they are hidden as well as possible under your cabinets
it seems like a good price for what you get compared to several other options I researched
the light output is great, and I like being able to adjust this using the 4 position dimmer

Note: You can splice their cables and buy a spool of cable from a local home improvement store to make cables in any length you want. This was especially handy when running cable behind walls and from one set of cabinets to another.
They are rather industrial looking so they are meant to be mounted out of sight. However, this is not an issue for installing under the cabinets where they are not seen.
I was a little worried about the brightness but that is not an issue at all. They are very bright.
I use the supplied dimmer and leave it on low most all the time as a night light. I only use high when cooking. They are super-efficient so this only uses a few watts of power.
All in all these are a little pricy but I really like them. I think I will install some additional LED's inside the lower cabinets. There is an outlet for the dishwasher which will be perfect to power them no more having to get the flashlight to see in the back of the cabinets.
I ordered the Cool White light color as the granite counter top I have has gold / yellow in it and I did not want to accent with a warm / golden hue of the Warm White color option. My backsplash is offwhite tumbled marble, and I reflect the light to the backsplach and let it reflect back and outwards. Mounting is simple, for me a used two small blocks of quarter round stock, first mounting the LED stick to the "round" side of the stock, and then using a silicon caulk to "stick" the flat edge of the stock against the back (inside / under)of the front cabinet bottom. This mounts the LED strip at a 45 degree angle to bounce the light off the backsplash and eliminate the possibility of a glare of the LED hitting the granite countertop straight on.
The effect of undercabinet lighting alone is amazing, having a simple plug and play solution make the installation quick and easy. Do not underestimate this product based on size, in fact having the components in a smaller footprint is one of the many "plus" features. If you are handy with a wire cutter and either a soildering iron, or crimp on connectors you can cut any of the wiring bundles to length and splice the two ends together.

I installed these under my kitchen cabinets and am very happy with them. I have a power outlet in an upper cabinet where the microwave plugs in. I plugged the LED power supply into the extra plug. I then drilled holes inside the cabinets and ran the wiring down to the bottom of the cabinets. The LEDs come with self-stick tape but I didn't think it would adhere to the particle board cabinet bottom very well so I chose to use the supplied screws to mount the LEDs under the cabinets. I did put one LED on the bottom of the microwave and used the self-stick tape without an issue. If you do this be sure and clean the mounting surface as any grease or oil splatter will prevent the tape from sticking.They are rather industrial looking so they are meant to be mounted out of sight. All in all these are a little pricy but I really like them. I think I will install some additional LED's inside the lower cabinets. There is an outlet for the dishwasher which will be perfect to power them no more having to get the flashlight to see in the back of the cabinets.

You will not need dynamite to be blown away with this product package arrived ahead of the expected deliver date, and exceeded my expectations on how bright they are and how simple it is to install and use. After the fact I ordered the remote wireless controller as well. If you are thinking of undercabinet lighting definetly go with Inspired LED Lighting products. All questions I had and communications with the company even BEFORE I was a paying customer were answered quickly and with detailed information.I ordered the Cool White light color as the granite counter top I have has gold / yellow in it and I did not want to accent with a warm / golden hue of the Warm White color option. My backsplash is offwhite tumbled marble, and I reflect the light to the backsplach and let it reflect back and outwards. Mounting is simple, for me a used two small blocks of quarter round stock, first mounting the LED stick to the "round" side of the stock, and then using a silicon caulk to "stick" the flat edge of the stock against the back (inside / under)of the front cabinet bottom. This mounts the LED strip at a 45 degree angle to bounce the light off the backsplash and eliminate the possibility of a glare of the LED hitting the granite countertop straight on.
The effect of undercabinet lighting alone is amazing, having a simple plug and play solution make the installation quick and easy. Do not underestimate this product based on size, in fact having the components in a smaller footprint is one of the many "plus" features. If you are handy with a wire cutter and either a soildering iron, or crimp on connectors you can cut any of the wiring bundles to length and splice the two ends together.

I like the product, it was easy to install and I like the adjustability of the lights. I did have an issue with one of the switches/dimmers. The company was very responsive and exchanged it without any problem. They also let me exchange one of the warm white lights for an even more yellow LED light strip. Even the yellow led strip is still too white for me. The lights are nice, bright, cool, but too white for my taste. They almost give off a florescent looking light. The incandescent bulbs on the bottom of the microwave give off that nice warm glow that bounces off the tiled backsplash and looks so great! These lights are nice, but they just don't have that nice warm feel to them. I also had an issue with several of the lights that I stuck to the bottom of the cabinets using the peel and stick tape applied to the led strips. They fell down after just a few weeks. It was an easy fix using the included screws. I would just plan on installing the screws once you have everything positioned using the peel-n-stick tabs already on the led strips and cord management clips.

Living in a very rural area, these replacements are very expensive at our local retailer. We're a little disappointed in how often we seem to change them. Sylvania has discontinued this lamp, and replaced with a 60 watt model that is almost, but not quite as bright, and has a slightly different color temperature. The Amazon listing says 75W, 1000 lumens, 3000K. The bulbs received are 60W, 910 lumens, 2950K. It's close enough that I kept the bulbs, and the seller I chose was nice enough to give me a discount to keep me happy. But Amazon needs to update the listing to reflect what is actually being shipped.

Even though these are labeled "long neck", they are more of a medium neck. They are bright enough but they would be better if they had a little bit longer neck. With a shallow light can my overhead light were always sticking out and my kitchen cabinets were scraping the lights every time we opened the door. These things are heavy duty. The thickness of all the components makes them so there is almost no "buzz" like my regular lights do when dimmed. I have been replacing all of my basement can lights with these. I can watch a movie with the lights dimmed way down without the buzz. They are a little expensive but mine have lasted on average of 3 years.

I got these to add a little ambient light to my living room while watching TV. I have to point out, that this package does NOT include the controller, just the add on lights. So I ended up having to order the controller as well. The lights them self seem high quality and are easy to wire up to any 12 volt supply if you would like to have them without the controller.
There is an adhesive backing so you can stick them up anywhere, I ended up putting a bit of glue on the end where the controller connects due to the extra weight of the wires pulling the strips off. They are small, and smoothly add some light to any room.

I got the basic kit plus two extension packs. I connected them so that I have two one foot strips, then one foot extension, another two strips, another one foot extension, and a final two strips for 8 feet total. They all operate off the same remote, which came with the basic kit. I really love the selection of colors and the selection of fading, flashing, or just one color. Strangely, however, with six one foot strips connected together, I notice that some of the strips are slightly different colors. These colors are related to the color chosen but as much as one button away on the color gradient of the remote control. If I were pickier or had them in a location where the strips themselves were more visible, I would want one single color choice to be exactly the same on all the strips and not merely closely related. We first we bought the 2-led multi-color kit with remote control, and we love how the system works. YOu can control the light color what ever you want with just a click from the remote (IR). You can even put some light sequence (like fading, interchanging colors, etc). We bought the 2-pack 2-led extension kit with extension wires, because we decided to cover the edge of our entertainment center where the TV was. We had some troubles since Amazon only sent us 1-pack, I talked with CS and they refunded half the price. I purchased 4 sets of these to attach to the back of my TV. They provide an awesome glow for the room while watching tv. 1 thing I have noticed, the colors of the lights are slightly different based on the orientation of the lights IE. horizontal as opposed to vertical. If they are all facing the same direction you don't notice a color difference. In other words the lights on the top and bottom sides of the TV have a slightly different look to the strips on the sides of the TV. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of.
