I got these to add a little ambient light to my living room while watching TV. I have to point out, that this package does NOT include the controller, just the add on lights. So I ended up having to order the controller as well. The lights them self seem high quality and are easy to wire up to any 12 volt supply if you would like to have them without the controller.

There is an adhesive backing so you can stick them up anywhere, I ended up putting a bit of glue on the end where the controller connects due to the extra weight of the wires pulling the strips off. They are small, and smoothly add some light to any room.

I got the basic kit plus two extension packs. I connected them so that I have two one foot strips, then one foot extension, another two strips, another one foot extension, and a final two strips for 8 feet total. They all operate off the same remote, which came with the basic kit. I really love the selection of colors and the selection of fading, flashing, or just one color. Strangely, however, with six one foot strips connected together, I notice that some of the strips are slightly different colors. These colors are related to the color chosen but as much as one button away on the color gradient of the remote control. If I were pickier or had them in a location where the strips themselves were more visible, I would want one single color choice to be exactly the same on all the strips and not merely closely related. Where I am using them, the lights themselves are hidden, and the light on the illuminated objects blends together fairly well.

Easy. Works like you think they would. I docked one star because connector has already come loose from one strand to the other but I quickly fixed it. Plug and play and tape on.

We first we bought the 2-led multi-color kit with remote control, and we love how the system works. YOu can control the light color what ever you want with just a click from the remote (IR). You can even put some light sequence (like fading, interchanging colors, etc). We bought the 2-pack 2-led extension kit with extension wires, because we decided to cover the edge of our entertainment center where the TV was. We had some troubles since Amazon only sent us 1-pack, I talked with CS and they refunded half the price. Oh, and we were short again, so we ordered another extension kit... guess what, Amazon sent us 1-pack again... well that was frustrating... but, hey... they sent us another pack on the next day which is saturday... five stars for the product and five stars for Amazon...

I purchased 4 sets of these to attach to the back of my TV. They provide an awesome glow for the room while watching tv. 1 thing I have noticed, the colors of the lights are slightly different based on the orientation of the lights IE. horizontal as opposed to vertical. If they are all facing the same direction you don't notice a color difference. In other words the lights on the top and bottom sides of the TV have a slightly different look to the strips on the sides of the TV. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of.
