Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program First off, let me say the Energizer LED Folding 360 Area Lantern was a welcome replacement for the oil lanterns and candles we once used during power outages.

We tested this model on the late afternoon of Sunday, July 21, when Pacific Power had an equipment problem at a substation in our city, causing more than 4,500 homes to lose power for up to eight hours. Our home was one of the last to have power restored, so we had plenty of time to test the Energizer LED Folding 360 Area Lantern.

Initially, I loaded four AA batteries into the lantern but we switched to eight (as per the instructions) for maximum run time during the power outage. The smart dimming technology is fantastic. We could `tap' down the light intensity, allowing us to use the lantern at the dinner table without blinding anyone. With a couple more taps, my family could ramp up the light intensity for use down the hallway.

The caveat here is Energizer's decision to use plastic screws to hold the battery compartment. We stripped the screws on our first try, so now they fall out of place if the lantern is rotated too much to its front side. This isn't a problem so long as the textured, plastic lid is closed. The lantern has a durable, easy-grip handle and a retractable kick-stand that allows the product to sit upright on a table.

Eight AA batteries gave us all the light we needed during our eight-hour power outage. I haven't tested in for longer periods. If Energizer would come up with a better locking mechanism for the battery compartment, I would raise my rating by two stars. For now, this lantern is two screws shy of a five-star rating.

Rating: Three stars.

ADDENDUM (Key information to share from the comments):

Snaby says:

They are not screws they are latches, if you look really carefully next to them there is an etched symbol showing to spin them a quarter turn to unlock. Reading though the reviews it seems Energizer should have made this etching a little more obvious as apparently a lot of people have made the same mistake and overturned the latches. Hope this helps anybody else that purchases this product because it really is a very nice lantern all things considered.

Jared Castle says:

Thank you. You are correct. The latches aren't intuitive and we turned them too far. Except for the latch, I have no complaints.

flyer says:

You might edit your review to incorporate this new insight -if I had not read the comment I would have avoided this light based on your otherwise excellent review.

This lantern is really solid, great build quality, and puts out a lot of light. On the high setting, it filled a darkened bedroom, about 12x12, 10 feet high with a pleasant light, bright enough to read a book from across the room. I'm not saying it's anywhere near as bright as an incandescent bulb, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The "Fusion" technology seems to use LEDs at the edge of a sheet of acrylic that has been laser etched to distribute the light. When the light is off the acrylic is transparent. When it's on it shines from both sides of the sheet of acrylic. The acrylic lighting element can be moved 180 degrees to provide a hand lantern (like you might carry while walking), a task or desk light, or an area light. It could be hung from the handle. There also is an ingenious dimmer.

There is a nice kickstand for stability that was a little hard to use at first. I was afraid I'd break it because I had to tug it so hard. Found that it works easily if I pull on the little tab on one side instead of trying to pull both sides.

Note that it comes with a "Try Me" mode activated, which turns it off after a short time. You'll want to deactivate that by removing the batteries for 10 seconds and replacing them.

It's height and width are about the same as an ipad mini, but it is considerably thicker. Feels about like a radio of similar size and dimension, loaded with the four AA batteries that come with it. Note that it will take 8 AAs, which I haven't tried. I'm guessing 8 increases run time instead of brightness.

I think it would be suitable for emergency home or car use, or car camping. A bit heavy and big for backpacking, but might be worth the weight for the light it puts out. Might have been nice to provide a protective cover for it, as the acrylic looks like it might be susceptible to scratching etc.--not a big concern.

Overall it's a very nice piece of gear. I didn't give 5 stars because I think it's a little pricey compared to other lanterns, but I'm not an expert in lanterns and apart from price it's a 5 star item.

This is a great, versatile product for camping trips, to keep in your car in case you're stuck on the side of the road at night, or as in my case, when the power goes out at home. And stays out for hours, since you live in a neighborhood where the power lines short out every time the wind blows.

For several years I have been using the heavy, clunky eight D battery-powered lanterns and this LED Folding Lantern is light years beyond them. Much lighter, 180 degree OR 360 degree lighting area, and you can still control the brightness. Also, operates off eight AA batteries instead of the older version's eight D-batteries.

Be warned though, upon purchasing, you must take out the existing batteries, leave out for 30 seconds, then put them back in, for the lantern to remain powered on without cutting off arbitrarily. Otherwise it stays in "store display mode" where you push the power button on the back, and it only stays lit up for about 10 seconds. Unfortunately it does not explain this in the directions, and I had to make a call to the customer service line to figure it out.

Honest reviews on Energizer LED Folding 360 Area Lantern with Light Fusion Technology

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have one each of all the new energizer fusion technology lanterns/flashlights.

This is the biggest and the brightest of the bunch.

It is still compact even though the light is big and bright. This is because it folds up pretty flat (about an inch wide)

What I like best about this one, and I wish all the other models were the same, is that you can access the battery compartment without a screwdriver or a coin. You can turn the screws with your fingers. Thank you!

The trouble with this model is that it eats up batteries. I have changed batteries 3 times now in just a few days. I have been using the lantern for about an hour every night at bed time.

I'm starting to think that buying flashlights from a battery company might be a mistake.

Be sure to take the unit out of 'try me' mode by removing the batteries for at least 10 seconds.

I really like this light except for one problem. It will start blinking and shutoff even though there may be plenty of life left in the batteries especially if you are using only four. This is not as much of a problem when using eight batteries.

But I found some solutions. You can switch to a lower level when it starts blinking and it will continue to work, then switch to an even lower level when it blinks again until the batteries are more completely used up. But, if it shuts off before you lower the level, you may not be able to turn it back on and make adjustments.

Another solution is to save the set of four batteries used when it shuts off, put four new ones in and use them up at the same light level, and then add the saved set for a total of eight. The combination of all eight will allow much more of their capacity to be used. Whether this is worth the trouble depends on the light level used when shutoff happens. Remaining battery life is greatest if it blinks when on high light level so it may be worthwhile then. There is not as much benefit when shutoff happens at lower levels.

Another solution is to simply use eight batteries. That will extend battery life to more than double that of four.

And one more solution is to use the batteries that have become useless with this light in another light, radio, etc. that drains the batteries completely.

The best solution for me is to use rechargeable batteries. I can simply recharge them when the light shuts off without worrying about any other strategy.

My rating would have been five stars if not for this problem.

For those that want an explanation, this light seems to try to keep the light level constant at the setting in play rather than allow the level to drop as the battery weakens. So it will shut off when the battery voltage drops below a point where the battery can supply enough power to maintain that level. That is why unused power is more at the higher light levels.

Very nice item. I ordered the Yantouch Jellyfish with two other items, the Phillips Living Colors 2 and the Lzr Sphere Light Projector from Unique Gagets & Toys. The Jellyfish is my favorite of the three. The colors are great, and very adjustable. There is saturation and hue gradients which allow the Jellyfish to be set to an astounding variety of colors and brightness. The flow setting moves the colors through the spectrum in a preset configuration that reminds me of a color wheel. Finally there is a preset which includes several colors at one time, a sort of rainbow. The Jellyfish is not bright enough to read by, nor can it be clearly seen by daylight. It does not cast light into a room, or onto the ceiling. It is made of sturdy plastic which allows the cool temperature LED style lights inside to cast their glow onto the shell that encases them, creating a mellow and attractive color scheme to be seen. The weakness of this item is its touchpad the interface between the user and the results. Either mine is problematic or the method is. My impression is the design is weak, not my specific item. It is supposed to respond to touch commands, the point touched determining the color result, the duration of the contact and direction of the movement are supposed to effect changes in the saturation of the color, and the type of results you get are responsive to this input. In reality it strikes me as fidgety and more random in outcome it is determined by these input commands. Nevertheless this is a great little night light. If I had kids I would give it to them, since I don't I get to keep it.

The Yantouch Jelly Fish Night Light is so cool. I love how the light continually changes colors and the multi color setting.

Honest reviews on Yantouch Touch Control Jellyfish Night Light LED Lamp

I got this light as a christmas gift and I love it! I can't stand being in a pitch black room so I usually leave a small night light plugged in. But most of the time they are just too bright [I have a very small room, so it doesn't take much to light up my room]! With this light I can pick any color in any hue, light or dark. You are able to pick a color and either turn the brightness up or down which makes this great! Anyone looking for a reading lamp should not buy this, why would you want a colored light to read with anyway? I love that I can pick a different color to fit my mood. The only thing I don't like is the changing rainbow effect, it isn't very pleasant.

i bought this feeling confident it would be great. massive disappointment.

to begin, the light is far too dim. it is designed to be pointed at a surface and the surface helps to increase the strength of the light in the room/area. i can't see how this is useful for anything, also i find the colors and rainbow mode ugly. it's still too dark to be useful you will need another light source if you plan to do anything (like reading which is impossible using only this light).

the worst part is, when it is in rainbow mode (fades in and out through the colors) i actually find this really annoying and distracting. it's just not at all pleasant having the colors changing constantly.

the advertising says that it can show millions of colors, which i don't believe. when you scroll through the colors and choose one, it isn't the same tone and hue to the color that you selected. probably the most disappointing thing about this. it doesn't feel like it has a lot of colors. i do graphic design, studied art, am good at creating colors using just red, blue, green paints. i'm sure that this thing doesn't have as many tones of color as advertised.

i'm not sure what to do with this unit now, is it worth the effort to have one of my walls being cycled through a few neon colors? no.

i wanted this as a pretty low light reading lamp and yesterday bought an Artemide tolomeo a color that i'll enjoy.

the pricing is too high for this which has no practical use.

Like many users of this product, I use programmable timers for all outdoor lighting and several indoor light fixtures to create the "someone is home" appearance. Statistics continually show that most burglars will pick a softer target if they can't be sure the home is unoccupied.

The Honeywell PLS750C is a simple solution for controlled interval lighting with most any type of load including fluorescent lights and small motors. The "small motor" feature was important to me because I use an outdoor receptacle to operate an electric string trimmer. The circuit is shared with outdoor lighting switched with the PLS750C timer.

Never again will my wife be impatiently waiting to depart for vacation while she watches me reprogram 7 timers that were programmed for a previous season with the wrong ON/OFF times. The PLS750C is truly a "set it and forget it" timer with the intuitive menu that prompts the user to enter geographic coordinates to continually adjust for the ever-changing sunrise/sunset times. The 4 hour clock backup is a good tradeoff to eliminate the batteries required by most self-adjusting wall switch timers. If power is lost for more than four hours, it is quick and easy to reset the clock. The user ON/OFF program will remain in memory indefinitely during power outages. One reviewer on another site mentioned a vacation home with frequent outages lasting longer than 4 hours. The inferior battery-backup style timers would probably be the best option in those situations when no one is at the home to reset the clock during extended power outages.

The part number for the non 3-way Honeywell timer is RPLS740B. It took me forever to find the 3-way version because it is not yet listed on the Honeywell website (as of Feb 26, 2012). As mentioned by a previous reviewer, opt for the 3-way version (unless you are intimidated by the extra wires) because it will work fine as a 2-way switch and the cost is the same. You might have a future application for a 3-way timer.

Unless I missed it, I saw no comments about using the timer to switch OFF/ON several times during the nighttime hours of each 24 hour period. I like to program a few OFF periods lasting only 5 or 10 minutes during the nighttime hours to enhance the "someone is home" appearance. By staggering brief OFF periods with different timers you create the illusion that someone is moving room-to-room inside the home.

Though my first two PLS750C timers have been in service only about one week, the clocks are accurate relative to my atomic clock. The Box Store versions of the Intermatic self-adjusting battery backup wall switch timers were poor time keepers, requiring periodic adjusting of 5 or 10 minutes every few months. Some models of the Intermatic self-adjusting wall switch timers were recalled due to a safety hazard associated with replacing the battery. The attractive illuminated LCD screen on the Honeywell PLS750C makes the timer much easier to read than other timers I have used.

I configured a cost calculator comparison chart showing an annual power savings of $112 by replacing only five 60 watt incandescent bulbs with lumen-comparable CFLs programmed to operate dusk to dawn with the Honeywell PLS750C wall switch timers.

I will be ordering several additional Honeywell PLS750C wall switch timers.

Google "Handy Math dot com" for the spiffy power consumption cost calculator if you wish to know precisely what it cost to operate your lights. Over a one-year period use 12 hours for the dusk-to-dawn ON time in the calculator to reflect the changing hours of darkness, or use 4,380 hours per year for each dusk-to-dawn light and you'll have a good number for a realistic average.

I don't usually post any review but I'm just so angry with Honeywell that I need to share with other people so they don't make the same mistake by buying this switch. I bought two of these wall switches because of its functionality(sunrise/sunset) and its looks. The setup was so easy until when it stopped working and Honeywell will not give you its warranty without you paying their professional group. But before I get to that warranty issue, let me tell you about my setup. I bought two of these switches 10 months ago, one for my porch and one for the kitchen, using the single-switch installation. Each switches is attached to two 15 Watts Sylvania CFL(so total of 30 watts for both per switch).

Recently, I noticed that the display is off on one of the switches(it seems like it has no power) and there's no way for me to turn on the switch manually. The switch will turn on once it reach the time that I set it to turn on. So it semi-working but it's not good if you want to manually turn on your lights. Few days after, same issue started happening on the other switch as well. The switch has 3 years warranty and since I'm only on my 10month, I should not have no problem getting a replacement, well I was wrong. I called Honeywell technical support and they want to find out how much load does each switch have. Telling them that it's only using 2-15 watts is not enough for them and since I have no idea, I told them I will have to call them back and once I have those information available. After I had my electrician friend checked it, he told me that the issue is not the wiring or load but the switch is defective. I called Honeywell support again this morning, at first, the tech told me that it might be wiring issue but I told them that it has been working for 10months and if it's wiring issue, it would not work from day 1. I also said that the switch is not completely dead since it still turns on when it scheduled to turn on but I just could not manually turn it on since there's no display. At this time, support told me that since this is a professional product, I will need to be transferred to their professional group to perform the troubleshooting and if it need replacement, they will need to install the switch for me. I told him that if they come to my house I'm pretty sure they will charge me for the service. Support said that I will pay for the service but not sure how much. So I told support that I will not waste my time talking to your professional group because I have no intention on paying them to come to my house to install a new switch. I rather buy another similar product and guarantee that it will not cost more than $100.

So be careful when buying this switch, basically its warranty is useless from day 1, unless you're willing to spend more money for their professional group. I just bought the GE digital timer which is less then $30 and it has same functionality as the Honeywell switch.

Best Deals for Honeywell Timer Switch with Sunrise Sunset Single or 3 Way

Great product IF it works. If you follow the instructions it really is simple to install and to program. Stay calm, stick with the instructions and you'll do fine. I bought two of these units to control my outside lights from dawn to dusk and when they worked they were exactly what I wanted. However after a couple of days they would randomly just shut off, the display would go blank and none of the controls / buttons would do anything. They wouldn't do it at the same time but just randomly and independently. I discovered that if I turned the breaker off for 5 seconds and then turned it back on that they would 'reset' and work again apparently as if nothing had happened. But sure enough within 24 hours or so they would shut off again. I checked the wiring, checked the line voltage etc and nothing helped.

So I did what anyone would do and called the Honeywell customer assistance hot line. To give them credit it is relatively easy to get connected to a live person, I called 4 times and each time got to talk to a person within 60 seconds of picking up the phone. However the live person is very obviously in India.... I don't care if he says his name is Chuck or Henry or whatever they are in India and can't do anything except read the prompts on their computer monitor. You would think that that one of the requirements for the person on the phone is that they had at least a basic working knowledge of the product that they are supporting and general wiring and electrical principals. Don't try using logic with these people it's almost comical, the fact that volts x amps = watts was seemingly baffling to them.

Now here is the part that completely frustrated the heck out of me. After calling 4 separate times and each time being instructed to perform certain diagnostics requiring accessing the switch to measure voltage or get a code printed on the back of the switch etc I was told that because this was a 'professional unit' that I needed to get a licensed electrician or installer to come trouble shoot the switch. No where on the box or the paperwork in the box does it say that this switch will not be warranted if installed by a home owner. I very calmly told the person on the phone that I was not paying $100 or more to have an electrician come troubleshoot a switch that could be replaced with one that actually worked for less than half that cost. Again this 'logic' was impossible for the person on the phone to grasp.

So bottom line is this. The product is great, it does exactly what it is advertised to do (when it works), and when it works it works very well in fact I don't think you will find a comparable product for the price. However be prepared to simply toss it in the trash IF it doesn't work.

Honest reviews on Honeywell Timer Switch with Sunrise Sunset Single or 3 Way

So I just installed 4 of these for my outdoor lights (load of 1-2 incandescent lights each) and they worked great right off. For some reason within the next three days they all (all four) started acting up. I have verified the settings are all right, the wiring is correct (for single switch with neutral), the voltage is consistent, and the hour is newly wired with brand new romex. This issue results from heat. When the house heats up (above around 78-80 F), these things (lcd backlight) start flickering and eventually turn off completely until the house cools down enough for them to come back on (well after sundown). They just plain turn off if they get too hot, and living in southern california, this is everyday right now. Don't expect too much from these.

We bought 4 sets, put them up, and let the batteries charge for 4-5 days, well beyond the 2 days recommended in the instructions. They worked for a few days and then within a week 2 of them don't work at all. The other two sets only glow red, and that's just a few not all of the lights. We called Smart Solar (the company that makes them) and the rep (Agnes) was curt and unhelpful, suggesting only that we try replacing the batteries with regular ones as the batteries that came with the sets may have been dead from sitting around in the warehouse. These are solar-charged batteries, and once charged, should not matter whether the light sets were in a warehouse for a while or not. Further, upon replacing the batteries, the battery terminal was rusty. The lights still do not work even after putting in charged regular batteries. We could see if maybe we got one set of bad lights but this was all four of them (two dragonfly, two butterfly). What a waste of $120.

these are fun lights but they quit working after a short time (month or so). I have another brand that I bought at the same time and they are still working. Maybe they would last longer if you live where there is no wind, cause I think that is what did them in.

Best Deals for Smart Solar 3705MR20 Solar Light String, 20 Multi Color LEDs

I bought these lights in June but waited until now to write the review. The reason for that is these sorts of outdoor sets really go up and stay up all winter you don't take them down just because it rains or snows and often they don't work after a few months. So I wanted to wait and see how they held up and well we had one heck of a winter here in the North East, and I'm pleased to say that these beauties are not only going strong but they did so even when the panel was buried under a foot of snow.

Great set of lights but I do wish I could daisy chain more onto the string without having another solar panel in place but perhaps that's the limit based on the battery consumption. Speaking of which, on the whole the batteries supplied in low-priced solar powered lamps are terrible. They're designed to get you going but are often the lowest rated amperage and are quite old. Do factor in the cost of replacing possibly as quick as a month after purchase. Personally, I ALWAYS put in new batteries them as soon as I've bought the item. You can get 2700mAh batteries for around $3 each now which is frankly a small price to pay for the extra life they'll give your product over the dire aging NiCads that often come with these items.

Our little tree outside looks really festive at night all year round!

Bought a string of these (on Amazon) for < $9 about a month ago. They last for several hours and have a pleasing soft glow. The butterfly shape is not really visible from more than a few feet away. 10 watt LED floodlight for $15? Yeah right. On the other hand, it's only $15. I've wasted more money than that without even trying. This was the only product I could find that looked like what I was looking for, so I ordered a couple anyway.

Was I pleasantly surprised! These are well made, very sturdy, and they put out a lot of even light without hot spots. I've since found similar units from other sources for about $80 bucks. This is an incredible value.

These came direct from China, and got here el quicko.

I would have given this 5 stars, but they arrived with one of the glass lenses broken. The shipping packaging was completely cheap, and didn't protect the lights hardly at all.

When our friend gave us this nightlight, I thought it was a little weird as a baby gift. O M G it is awesome. The charging green light doesn't interfere with sleeping, and is nice to have on when baby is in the same room. The white light is efficient, and can help you find ties to match your shirt when you are getting dressed in the dark. The round size is great for toddler hands. Very durable, we have used it nearly nightly for 4 years and found ourselves buying more with the second baby.

I got one of these through Amazon 2 weeks ago (paid 85, and now it is 15 dollars less) and put it on my double garage to light the driveway and apron. I used an Intermatic K4321C dusk to dawn switch (which came with great instructions).

PROs The light fixture works well early on and build quality is high. White and bright light, which I like. Light intensity is even over the coverage area.

CON My fixture came with no instruction label on the cord, and nothing in or on the box. Not any wiring info whatsoever. Adequate labeling for the safe use of the product is a requirement, not a nicety. I don't have time to Google every thing and had no expectation I should have to for a light fixture.....

So if you run into an unlabeled light here is the color code that worked for me:

With everything going "LED", I replaced my two 150watt tungsten outdoor floods with this 30 watt flood fixture. I am disappointed no one has any type of scale to show any lumens conversion so I would have an idea if this was equal to the 2 one hundred fifty incandescent floods.

This light fixture is nice looking, seemingly well made. On the back side of the light is where the power transformer is housed, but since it is on the back side, it doesnt show. The wiring color code does not conform to the US electrical codes (white = neutral; black = hot; green = ground), so the wiring diagram enclosed with the light needs to be followed.

After mounting the following were noted: It takes the light about a second to turn on after the switch is turned on; The lumen output is difficult to rate since this light has an extremely wide angle (side to side) spread, plus the frequency (color) of the light (daylight in my case), renders a completely different aspect.

IF I HAD TO GUESS, the light output taking into consideration the wide angle of light this unit has, I would say it is probably 250-400 watts of light (as most of us in the United States have grown up knowing light bulb wattage. I think it might be fair "as a rule of thumb" to just add a ZERO to the end of the LED wattage to approximate the equivalent rating to an incandescent bulb.

If this unit lasts, it will receive a good rating from me.

The led light was easily installed and has been operating for about 30 days. It produces very bright light and highlights a sizable area. Well worth the purchase. The price was within my budget range. Good experience with Amazon.com

Honest reviews on 30 Watt LED Outdoor Security Wallpack Landscaping Yard Floodlight

seller quick got it a few days, i wish my electrician was as responsive

we mounted them on a concrete pad with a bolt in the center, the unit has a center cutout for the bolt very easy to install

tilts up down and side to side

got tired of replacing my metal halide and rebuilding the ballast wanted light that lasted

reviewed LED floods on internet, trying to replace two 175w metal halide

i debated using the higher output 50w from some reviews

reviewed youtube videos, did calculations for lumens

understanding that LED sometimes don't have the output ooomph that regular bulbs do

i felt the 30w would be enough

boy was i right!!! :)

agreed they don't have the overall intensity as my metal halide BUT AT 30W

this is amazing, so for 60w i get the look and pleasant lighting for my front yard of 350w

the flood lights have to reach 40 feet to my back fence and front of the house at about 20ft from floods

wonderful dispersion near 160-170 degrees

BIG SAVINGS and WILL LAST for many years

now i'm looking at ways i can use the same units inside my house to replace my track lighting in my open family room with 25ft ceilings. two of these units could replace 12 track lights and 6 fluorescent

i am very pleased, work great compact and will last a long time

very clean bright white light

wonderful

The price of this product is very reasonable. It stays well on my head when I use it to go bike riding at night. The battery life isn't very long when kept on high power but I guess that is to be expected. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because it turns off sometimes when I hit a bump on my bike and it really hurts my forehead when I wear it for more than 30 minutes at a time. There is a very thin layer of padding behind the light and it gets uncomfortable. But for the price I can buy my own padding and stick it on. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought this for a trip to the BWCA in northern MN. The first time I tried to use it, the bracket that holds the strap on the side of the lamp broke. The light worked fine, but I couldn't use it on my head. I didn't have any problem with the seller, just the product. I would buy from them again, just not this lamp.

I've taken it on a few backpacking trips now. I can't find anything to complain about!

It's bright, it fits, and the angle of the light beam is adjustable.

Batteries not included.

Feel a little cheesy, but I like to work on my laptop or read books in the dark in bed, and so as to not disturb my partner, I needed a spot of light — and these work perfectly.

I bought two of this IMG Lighting Beacon 600 because of reviews I read on the internet and here at Amazon. What really caught my attention is the LED light color quality. We all know LED means alot of things... from dim bluish to glaring bright white light that are unusable. Beacon 600 lamp got the best... it is a perfect blend of white and warm white that is incredibly just right. After all, we want a perfect desk lamp right? I also like the fact they used Osram bulbs rather than some generic LEDs. It really does speak for the quality.

I also do like the style of this lamp... it is like a piece of art. If you fold it down, everyone will ask 'What is that>?' It is very nice to have something that is not just a desk lamp or if you want to hide it. I think IMG did a great job on this and I would like to see IMG come out with new sleek desk lamps with outstanding color LED that are pleasing to our eyes.

It seems expensive but once you turn it on and tried it for a couple of days, you will know you got the right one and is worth it. After all, the life of the LED will last super long 50,000 hours... theoretically will last like 30+ years if you use it 4 hours a day for 356 days a year... etc.... too long... lol. Very little heat and super low energy consumption. Lightyears better than halogen lamps during air conditioner season.

I purchased the IMG Beacon 600 lamp solely because of its sleek modern design and for the LED lighting. You can adjust the position of the lamp to accommodate any task you are working on and the surface never gets hot. I've been using this to read with for the last few days...and my eyes have never been happier. Whether reading a conventional book or my Kindle, the Beacon hasn't caused eye fatigue for me and I have it as my table lamp in the living room. I am very glad I decided to purchase this lamp. I'd love to see IMG Lighting produce this lamp at half its size for a bedside lamp.

IMG Lighting's customer service deserves a mention here. Quick, informative communication from them enabled me to make the purchasing decision. Awesome lamp from an equally awesome company.

I purchased this product primarily over concern for the long hours I spend next to my desklamp, which used to be a halogen lamp with a UV guard/lens. There was a space between the UV lens and bulb chamber, so UV could reflect out of the lamp, besides there is no way to really know what UV is getting through the glass without a testing device. With increased age, I am very concerned with UV exposure, even if limited, and didn't want any chance that my desk lamp would contribute to degrading my eyesight and even age my skin (or even cause cancer!). After doing research on the subject, I found that LEDs for lighting do not produce any Ultra Violet radiation. However, in the end, it is a much better light quality, with uniform intensity and lower operating cost than the halogen desk lamp. It's also a relief not have a dangerously hot surface to avoid, since the lamp runs so cool.

Honest reviews on Beacon 600 by IMG Lighting - Black LED Desk Light Table Lamp

Purchased a black model of the IMG lamp. Took a week to get a ship notice, then it did not arrive within the estimated time. Turns out the lamp was air shipped from China, bus arrived without any damage and in working condition.

The lamp has 10 LEDs in two lines of 5 each. color output is mixed between warm white and bright white.

The design is unusual, really catches people's eye. There are three controls built into the base of the unit: 1power on/off; 2Brightness (to the left side of the power touch switch, sliding your finger outward increases the lighting level; and 3color temp/warmth. Sliding to the right of the power switch, sliding outward increases the brightness of the 5 warm white LEDs.

The unit is mostly polished plastic, with good adjustability from the base and the head where the LEDs are mounted. It really runs cool, not warmth to be felt after running all day.

I am pleased with the unit, and hope it runs a long time......one question, why is the Black model less costly on Amazon than the whtie or red units?

Catchy title right? LOL Honestly, this has to be the sexiest lamp ever. Granted, its sleek and futuristic design is gorgeous, but the actual lighting is amazingly bright. As a college student, I spend more than 4-5 hours a day just studying. Currently, I read roughly 400-500 pages worth of text from all of my classes and needless to say, lighting is sooooo very important. Unfortunately, I have been sitting here with your typical "college kid desk lamp." Plain and simple: I have been suffering horrible headaches. Not anymore, thanks to IMG Lighting! If you're one to practically live at your desk, do invest in a Beacon 600. It will not only save your eyes from a lot of strain, but it will definitely add a bit of sexiness to your work space, desk, etc.

We saw the matching big chandelier at the store and really wanted the matching entry way light. This one was perfect because it is attractive and functional. However, my favorite part is that it is semi-flush with the ceiling. So it doesn't hang down too low and it's not so attached to the ceiling that is unnoticeable. Great price on Amazon as well. Arrived in perfect condition.

I made the mistake of buying several of these things because they looked like a good idea. It did not take long and all the lamps were dead, but before that happened I had to repair them. The plastic fittings used to hold the shaft in place do not and I used a hose clamp around the outer segment to hold it in place. These things are wobbly, parts do not fit tightly like the tripod, and out of four units they were all the same. I ended up drilling holes in the shafts for 1/4" cap screws with wing nuts to hold them and replaced all the halogen lamps. Now that everything is tight I will use them till they completely fall apart and find another big green Power Light I've had for years that works great.

My set of these lamps burned out in under 10 hours of use per bulb. The stand is very poorly constructed and one of the handles broke off from a cheap weld. I would not recommend these.

Best Deals for Cooper Lighting TQS1000QD Twin Stand 1000 Watt Halogen Worklight

These twin work lights do what you'd expect light up an area so you can work. They're sturdy and feel well-made and the safety feature of having the power cable screwed to the back is a nice touch. Each light can be switched on or off individually as well as directed up and down, and also about 100 degree angle on the horizontal plane (they lock off so you can't point them at each other which could be a huge fire hazard). Shame there's no low/middle/high option just an on/off on each light. Also, whilst you can extend the height over three extensions they don't fold up for storage like my other work lights can.

They are hot though; frankly they saturate your area with both the brightness and heat of the sun! Can't argue with the price for such a pro-looking kit.

Honest reviews on Cooper Lighting TQS1000QD Twin Stand 1000 Watt Halogen Worklight

Wow, these lights are really bright. I am really glad I purchased this product. I know they may be hot, but they weren't as bad as I expected. They're only too hot when you are less than a foot away and otherwise, it is tolerable. This is also the most professional-looking product that I have purchased yet. It's sturdy and it has an extra bulb. Really good.

The only drawbacks are that if you want an even light, you have to take off the cages because they create a slight shadow and the center piece wiggles a little bit if you don't tighten it all the way. Otherwise, it is GREAT!!! I recommend this product.

Well received the unit today. The screw for one the lamps is too short to mount to the rails. Used one lamp for sheetrock work. The glass shattered after 10 minutes of use from the heat. Tripod screw loose. Will request a refund.

This lantern works great. It puts out a lot of light for doing any kind of work. you can use it for walking, fishing or anything else. This lantern also has a reflector so it won't blind you. If you have Hitachi tools with slide on batteries, this lantern is a great addition. This lantern also lights up a room pretty good when the power goes out. The only thing is its about three times the price of the other Hitachi lantern with insert batteries. The good thing about this lantern is that you don't have to buy three to eight D cell batteries. All you have to do is recharge the battery.

I've gotten a couple of these as gifts and they are rather good. They actually seem brighter than their rated 120 lumens. While it doesn't have multiple light modes (such as dim, strobe, sos, etc), it does feature a momentary switch, which in my opinion, is the most useful function a light can have. Its shell is plastic but seems durable enough and does not feel cheap in any way. It is also weather resistant. The clip is pretty good though it's not reversible. Also, there is no lanyard hole. All in all though, it's a very nice light and easily worth $40.

I received this light as a gift. I really like its light weight long battery life and it is very bright. This light has a very nice intense spot. I really like the on off tail switch with momentary on. I own more expensive lights lenser p7, O light maverick, foursevens mini. This is just as good as any. Have been using this light for a while now and am very impressed. Brighter than my &50 olight maverick rated at 350 lumens. I think the difference is this light has an absolutely perfect spot while olight is sort of flood light. Has nice belt clip good for attaching to packs. Uses two cr123 batteries. This is the light i will be buying if I need another and I always need more flashlights.
