The description states that this will shut off after 10 seconds of last activity however, these shut off after 30 seconds of no activity. Actually, after 30 seconds it dims down slowly then completely shuts off (looks sort of cool how it does that too).

It has a very nice design, and you can angle the light panel to the position you want. What I did to install one light up quickly on a ceiling and another on a wall was to use heavy duty sticky back velcro strips. Works like a charm. These lights are very handy and even my picky husband likes them.

I hunted all over town for these lights (Target, Kmart, Walmart, Fred Meyers, Home Depot, and Lowes) but no one carried them nor had they even heard of these type of lights! All they carried were very small plug in 1 to 3 LED type lights. Don't they know that not all hallways or closets have plug in outlets? This type of light makes an excellent choice to do the job where there is no access to an electrical outlet.

I got this light to illuminate a dark area outside of my house. The motion sensor detects motion only if someone is right up near it, so it didn't do much good as a security light outside. This is best for internal stairways where you have to move quickly but can't reach an outlet or a place where there are no overhead lights (I guess like a shed). Other than that...it doesn't do much and certainly isn't as bright as the picture suggests.

it is reasonably bright, the light fade as time elapse, like turning off slowly. battery life seems to be very good. but the angle and range of detection is very limited. there are better products out there.

This product, the Sierra Electric JB5293 Motion Sensor Entry Light, works as advertised with the exception of the recommended uses listed in the Technical Details, i.e., "Use it at your front door, porch, closet, hallway, basement, attic?anywhere" These are important details, and they are very misleading in my opinion.

Based upon the product dimensions and that it uses three "C" size batteries, I expected a fairly bright light. I mean, if you can use in on your porch or in your attic, it must output some decent light, right! Wrong! I actually have a mini flashlight with only three LED's and uses two "AAA" size batteries and it produces substantially more usable light than this product.

I simply wanted a battery operated light with a motion sensor that I could use in my linen closet. In fact, when I was considering the purchase, I was somewhat concerned that it may be too bright for a small closet. Turns out that it is not nearly bright enough and the physical size of this product is monstrous for the measly light output. It is a very poor design and a terrible purchase. I should have paid more attention to the customer reviews. If you're reading this please pay attention to all of the reviews on this product before considering it.

The unit is easy to install and provides 'adequate' light sufficient for putting a key in a door lock or to prevent stumbling in the dark. If you expect a bright light, this is not your solution.

Comes on during daylight also. Not the best use of the battery power when a simple photosensor would make it so much better a device. After 3 months of occasional use, the 30 second auto-off timer died. It is now essentially a wall mounted led flashlight. Still useful but obviously cheaply made. I use the on/off switch to save the batteries and only switch it on when I need it to see the keyhole at night.

Still how much can you get for this low of a price? Even more expensive units don't list a photocell to prevent the unit from operating during daylight..... It seems OK under an overhang outside but I would refrain from exposing it to the elements without an overhang to protect it. With the no-photocell limitation considered, it is otherwise a reasonable product for the money but it is disappointing that the internal timer died after such minimal use.

I purchased another brand of LED bulbs at Home Depot for a dimmable ceiling fan/light fixture. My wife immediately noticed them and complained that the light they produced was too harsh. Dimming them wasn't an option because it didn't change the color of the light, and when dimmed they generated a loud buzzing sound. So I purchased these to see if they would be more like the incandescent bulbs I was replacing, only much more efficient. These are much, much better. They look funky when they're not turned on (they're noticeably yellow) and they do buzz a little when dimmed (hardly noticeable when the room is completely quite), but the light they produce is much more like what's created by an incandescent bulb. They're a little expensive, but worth the money.

Have been searching for LED replacements for the various applications in our home. So far most of the light has been too bright, too blue, or just spooky.

These bulbs are at the other end of the spectrum. A bit too dim for our use, very yellow. My wife says they look like cf"s that are still warming up.

Compared to 40 watt Sylvania soft white standard bulb and could not tell the difference. Most LED bulbs do not distribute light evenly and make poor choices for lamps or other fixtures that point up. These are the exception and send light in all directions. Do not be concerned about the Yellow exterior, these bulbs produce soft white light.

These are pretty heavy and feel well built. They are in retail packaging and were shipped in flawless condition.

Have not tested them in a dimmer or outdoors.

Highly recommeded so far.

I have purchased several of these bulbs and found them to be very nice replacements for incandescent bulbs. I am using these in living room fixtures and in our bedroom nightstands. They are dimmable and unlike other brands of dimmable bulbs I have purchased, these do not buzz when dimmed. I recommend these Philips bulbs, even though they are a bit more expensive than other brands of LED bulbs. Don't be put off by the yellow top of the bulb when lit, they have the color of a regular incandescent bulb.

These bulbs are more on the warm side than bright. The lighting is ample and efficient. I purchased 10 of these for my place and already seen a drop in power use even though i leave them on a lot.

I have a "Solar Storm" LED light which I love. Except that when you shut off the main lights, the 3 Led lights that tell how full a charge the battery is, does NOT shut off. Now admittedly they are led's and does not use Migh energy but it still causes the battery to discharge. This switch is a PERFECT fix. Fits between the coupler from the battery charge port and the light itself. Works FANTASTIC. Now I can kill all power from the battery when not in use but can switch it back on even while riding.

I highly recommend this on/off LED switch!

At first, I was very excited about the Nebo Redline. It provided quite a bit more light than my Planet Bike Blaze 1 watt. I thought the design and construction were well executed, though the complaints about the cheap plastic piece up front are warranted.

The problem is that the run time on high is not even close to 4 hours. I would put it at closer to 1.5 hours, if that. I had hoped it was possibly a bad LED, but all three of my redlines have similar run times.

To run an LED of this brightness, the batteries are being taxed, ie. drawing a lot of current. For this reason, you will see on the nebo packaging not to use rechargeable batteries, because NiMh batteries run at 1.2V while alkaline batteries run at 1.5V. So in series three AAA alkalines can provide 4.5V and rechargeables only 3.6V. For the redline, this makes a big difference in brightness and run-time. Also, even with alkalines, depleting the batteries so fast tends to accentuate any differences or defects in batteries, so that one battery tends to be exhausted before the other two have.

So all in all, I would rather have had my Blaze 1 watt powered by two rechargeable AAs. Or, better yet, finally buy a light powered by a rechargeable lithium battery pack.

The product says it will las 4hours/8hours thats true but NOT WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF POWER, so less ligh until you get a dim light. I think you can get an hour and a half maybe of full power. Strobe function also just works well if your baterry are fully charged. This product has a big flaw, if it falls off, it brakes. Yes, its aluminum but some genius added to de design a red plastic ring so it will glow when you turn on the light, but yeah you read well is plastic, so it easily breaks on falling, like mine. Please take the pimp red plastic ring and make it full aluminum.

OK so wishing I had bought this here so I could return it. The light itself works pretty well, you can actually see the road with this versus most other cheap lights, great where I am with bike path thats unlit and off from the road. the mount on the bars itself is decent, BUT....

the fraking piece of BRITTLE PLASTIC THAT IS MOUNTED TO THE LIGHT HOUSING IS CRAP!!! The mount is designed so you can slide the light off the mount, well the plastic plate that is screwed to the flashlight housing itself is JUNK, insanely brittle broke off both ends first time I took it off, just crumbled in my hand. Not sure why for a mount that basically costs $10 (the light by itself is $25ish) they couldnt put a decent type of plastic on the plate for the light itself. If they did that would be 4-4.5 stars worthy for the price. Got 2 stars cause light is nice but now I gotta figure out hwo to keep it from sliding forward or back in the mount. Center is still there for the moment...see how long before that breaks. Got one whole use outta it and now having to sort this all out AGAIN so I can night ride.

I did not purchase my Nebo Redline Bikelight through Amazon. That said, it is a EXCELLENT light. I purchased this light to mount on my recumbent trike. The light is well constructed and appears to be water resistant. The light can be adjusted from a beam to flood. Although the 220 lumens provides adequate light to trike at dusk, I may mount a second one for night triking. I typically use the light in strobe mode, often during daylight and always at night, as it provides adequate light, catches the attention of drivers, joggers and other cyclers, and provides up to 72 hours of light. The mount securely attaches to my trike. The quick release is secure and allows the light to be easily removed from the mount. To demonstrate how well the light is constructed, yesterday I was involved in a crash while avoiding a car that failed to stop at a stop sign. The light took a full force hit which scarred the metal on the front of the light and broke the plastic part where the light engages the mount. The light still works perfectly I hope Nebo can replace the plastic part that broke. If not, this will make an excellent light for hunting and camping. I have ordered one for my wifes trike. If you have researched lights for bikes, you will recognize that a well constructed 220 lumen light for $40 is a great value.

while this light is the most powerful light, in the smallest package I have ever owned, and the light itself being made of metal has already proven it's worth, I have already been though a crash with it, and as a result of said crash the mount basically exploded/disintegrated, in a crash where other lights would have been just fine. So I just took electrical tape and lashed the light to my handle bars, it is perfectly stable now!

The other issue I have is the design of the battery compartment, it has 2 weak springs in it and when traveling over any kind of rough surface fades in and out, turns on and off all by itself, easy fix is to put a coin between the battery holder and the end cap, but it was a little scary finding out the light wanted to do it's own thing, in the middle of evening traffic.

other than those 2 things I have been Very happy with the the actual brightness, especially when this 1 LED light than a 5 LED Cat Eye, I have been pleased with the battery life too.

The build quality is better than most standard SP and 3-way dimmers, the package came with three different color faces and it can be used as either a SP or 3way (no face plate however)... actually it's a 3way that has one of the terminals taped off for use as a SP, then take off the tape to access the 3rd terminal. For the most part it's what I expected, EXCEPT!!!.... unless I missed it in the description, it took installing the switch to realize something wasn't working right, I was replacing an old dimmer in a standard 3-way configuration (leaving the other 3-way switch alone was the plan), it took 5 minutes to get the switch swapped out for the new one, but it didn't work right. I checked the wiring 3 times, changed the location of the dimmer from the hot to the load location and back again, rechecked I had the 2 travelers right... but still it didn't work.

So I went to the directions (fished them out of the garbage actually) to see what I could be missing. Buried at the bottom of the Warnings & Cautions list was the answer: "Vizia Dimmers are NOT compatible with standard 3-way or 4-way switches, the MUST be used with compatible Vizia coordinating remotes...", SO this means I need to buy another Vizia switch to replace the other 3-way switch on the circuit.

I wish I had know this before I bought the first switch, but into it for $20... I needed to spend another $16 to make it work. The product is great and works as advertised when you get all Vizia parts, I'm just put off because it basically cost me $36 to replace one 3-way dimmer.

I bought one of these and installed it on a lamp outlet when I had an apartment and really liked it. So, when I bought a house, I replaced all the worn-looking dimmers and several switches with these.

I still eye the Lutron Maestro every now and then, but I still think this is the best dimmer out there, and now that I've used this model more thoroughly, here are my two complaints:

When wiring this up with a remote unit for a 3or more-way application, a delay seems to be introduced into the light level indicator in both the head unit and the remotes. If you're using just a single dimmer for a light, when you press the up or down button, the light and the indicator on the dimmer will respond instantly. If you introduce a remote into the mix, the indicator on the dimmer and remotes will take a second to respond. All my outside lights are on these dimmers, and I like to keep them at a certain level when we go to sleep, which I gauge with the dimmer indicator. When the dimmer indicator lags behind your button presses by a second, it makes this frustrating.

I sometimes miss the knob-style dimmers that are instant. I get impatient holding down the up or down buttons and waiting for the light level to raise or lower to where I want it to be. I want my interaction with light switches to last no more than a second.

I was extremely close to purchasing this product on Amazon, but thought I would just go to depot instead. This vizia line really does look and feel much better than normal switches. its one of those weird things that is hard to explain. the plastic is just stronger and more solid looking I guess. This dimmer requires that the load being dimmed use at least 50 watts of power. And if you hit that 50W but don't go that far over it, the dimming capability is limited. So this dimmer can not be used to control LED or CFL lighting unless you are controlling a group of at least 3-4 lights (in most cases). Given that most incandescent bulbs are being phased out and you will be using mostly LEDs in the near future I don't think many people will want to go with this line. Leviton does offer some LED / CFL capable switches but not in this line.

I didn't bother reading the reviews and after purchasing and installing realized that it only works with the same switch for the other location. Both arrived quickly but were missing the additional trim colors. It was white so not a big deal but if you need almond or ivory, id make sure these are included before purchasing.

I was a little worried when I purchased this product thinking I was going to get some flimsy plastic garbage because of the low price. I was happy with what arrived however. The lamp seems pretty solidly built using almost all metal. It is definitively energy efficient. I tested it and it was pulling only about 3W. The color of the light is roughly about the same as "daylight" CFLs. The only minor negative I have about this lamp, is it is not the brightest. I don't know if I would use this as my only light over a desk in an otherwise dark room. For me, using this above the work on my desk along with another floor lamp in my room provided an ideal amount of illumination.

Item arrived fastly, the lamp looks nice, does not look cheap but itbis quite small and doesn't lit much, I have to order a second one so that with two, my daughter's desk is almost entirely floodlit.

I wanted a cheap, LED-based lamp to light a small part of my standing desk in my home office. This works perfectly for that purpose. Been using for about 6 months and have had no problems at all. The power cord is somewhat cheap (think cable) but that doesn't pose a problem (yet). The switch is a simple rocker and I attached it to the side of my desk to make it easily accessible. Provides nice, focused lighting for reading something on my desk or photographing my T&E receipts (which is a big reason for my purchase).

Good lamp, nothing outstanding but that shouldn't be expected for the price. Don't buy if you're wanting to light a big area...it's not that kind of lamp. Buy if you need to light up a 20-inch radius on your desk or just want something to create a bit of light in a dark room.

Pine Top 508-R1003 Poly Resin Solar Night Lighthouse, 15-Inch Review

Everything worked right out the box (mangled box wasn't ecstatic about the packaging). My only complaint is that the lighthouse leans just a little bit. Other than that, everything seems to be great. The light won't illuminate your backyard, but you can tell it's on.

I bought this lighthouse to decorate the garden. It worked great for about 3 weeks till the first rain storm came, then it no longer worked. Rain water had leaked in through the "Lamphousing" and then flooded the battery compartment. The company who put this together used hot glue seal everything together which didn't hold up. Hot glue isn't what you would want to use on this outdoor item, a silicone sealant is. I took the lighthouse apart as the "Lamphousing" pulls right off and the battery compartment can be poked right out to dry everything out. Once dried, I then resealed everything and it's been working great ever since.
