I received this island range hood on just a few days after my order. I inspected the fan for function and installed the assembly a week later. The instructions were vague but not really necessary due to the straight forward nature of the installation. After final installation I peeled back the protective film and found two imperfections. I submitted a complaint through Amazon. Literally within hours I had a shipping number with a replacement chimney! So incredible! The actual function of the fan is incredible. It really pulls the air out of the kitchen! The halogen lights are bright and really put the light where it is needed. This is a handsome appliance that will accent our kitchen remodel perfectly.

I am very pleased with my AKDY range hood/island mount vent. I could not find a 30" range hood in any of the big box stores. I have a newly remodeled galley kitchen and did not want my kitchen to scream "huge range hood" when you walked in. It is the perfect size. My contractor was able to easily adjust the height of the stainless island mount pieces. The glass range hood looks fantastic/clean lines and not too overbearing. Lighting is excellent. Fan has various speeds and is pretty quiet. No issues with delivery. There was no damage to the product. The only negative that I can determine at this time is the typical issue with stainless steel-shows every fingerprint and some major cleaning was required after the installation. glass range hood needs cleaned almost everyday-easy with window cleaner. I would definitely recommend!

Came dented. Lights dont work. Control buttons look simple but they dont work correctly. Light button turns everything off instesd of power button. sending back.

The video goes through my experience with a range hood from AKDY but not this exact model. I think the info in the video applies to most of the AKDY ranges (I think this is Proline and other private labeled sellers as well) so hope it is useful to you. The range hood does look decent for the price but the company does have quality control issues. I hope the unit lasts after going through the work of getting multiple units, fixing the one new one and installing it. The install went easy after doing some prep work and I did find a really nice solution for the ductless option (search on this "ProAire Ductless Recirculating Kit for Compass Series Wall Mount Range Hoods"). Anyway, hope this helps... ... Good Day!
