I ordered 2 lamps in Sept 2011. They arrived timely and were packaged well. Installation was simple. The lamps light up just like we wanted, lighting just the side of the bed where the reader is and not the entire room. Toward the end of October, one lamp began flickering. We checked the plugs, and tried other outlets, but the flikering continued. Since we were past the date where the product could be returned, we took the lamp down and looked inside at the wiring. Some wires did appear to be too close to where the mounting screws entered the casing, so we gently moved them away. After remounting the lamp there was no more flickering. We though all the issues were solved, but then about 7 days later, while reading the lamp totally shut off. Figuring that maybe the bulb was bad, we began to investigate how one would replace the bulb. We found that the bulb couldn't be replaced. However, before taking the lamp down the next day, we tried the lamp one more time and the light came on again. Thinking maybe this was a fluke, we used the lamp a few more days, and then the lamp again turned itself off. Obviously something is wrong with this product. We will be looking for alternative lighting for our room, checking future potential purchases to ensure that the light bulbs can be changed. If I had known the bulb could not be changed, I would not have made the original purchase, especially for the price of the product.

I wasn't sure how big or small this lamp would be. The tube that hides the wire and the goose neck are about 3/8 of an inch in diameter and the wall mounting box is 2 5/8 inches wide by about 3 inches tall. I ordered the Satin Steel Finish and I noticed a few scuff marks on the lamp head finish, but not enough of a blemish to bother me. The lamp puts out plenty of light and I could read a book quite easily. One thing I modified was the way the lamp mounted to the wall. On the instruction sheet it shows vertical holes on the mounting plate, so that you could put both screws into a wall stud. But the mounting plate comes with horizontal holes. So I drilled new vertical holes into the mounting plate. The lamp was packaged with mounting screws and plastic anchors for Sheetrock, after I got it mounted I think that the Sheetrock anchors would have been fine. One thing that I noticed, the person in the factory that put it in the retail box was given an unlimited supply of 2 inch packing tape... you will need a sharp knife.

Advertised as having 16" "gooseneck". Gooseneck actually measures 9 1/2" and lamphead is 3 1/2" for a total projection of 13".

Also, ad states that cord cover can be removed. It can but requires rewiring lamp or cutting off plug and replacing it with a new plug. The lamp comes with the cord cover installed. Removal is not possible without the aforementioned rewiring either at the lamp end or the plug end.

Lamp was a disappointment but does barely meet my lighting requirements.

Tis better attached to a headboard than to drywall. I now have a pair

installed and wife and I enjoy the freedom from lamps on bedside tables.

flimsy, hard to mount, takes too much space. terrible light color. I would not recommend this product. is obstructive and an eyesore.
