I installed this kit in my home theater for cabinet-backs, i.e., accent lighting. They produce a pleasant soft light that is quite enjoyable. LED lighting uses low power consumption, and very low temperature lamps. Unlike halogen and many other lighting technologies that generate lots of heat, leds are very cool.

I couldn't be more pleased with the result from this product.

Also, LED lighting could eventually dominate the lighting marketplace, if manufacturing increases, more products emerge, and prices fall.

This is a great product for the price. Includes everything you need to get the entire system hooked up and tucked away from view. Clips for the light bars, clips for the wires, sticky-foam for the clips and the control boxes.

Looks great, gets a lot of compliments. A terrific buy for the price.

Edit: Over 2 years later and they're still fantastic. They've made it through a move, and a couple moves of the furniture layout. I have them on every day as ambient lighting at night. Still fantastic, and everything is still holding strong in the original places I positioned them.

Total waste of money. I bought a dozen of these from CostCo, while they had them is stock, and three of them died. These are just way over priced for what they are. CostCo sold these for $49 only a few years ago, and for the price now of two of these you can buy 65 feet of color changing LED rope light with a controller (65' RGB Color Changing LED Rope Light W/ Controller & Acc). Also, for the price of only one of these you can buy over a dozen color super bright changing LED spot lights, and each comes with it's own controller (Multi-Color E27 LED Light Bulb with Remote).
