As far as I am concerned this unit was a waste of money. It really only worked fine for about a month or so. We had this installed by an electrician, so I can't comment on that. It looks good but I have trouble adjusting the motion sensor. No matter what I do, the light doesn't come on until we're all the way to the top of the steps to our townhouse. But it does come on when a car drives by. We use a regular light bulb because we were told the motion sensor can be damaged with the use of fluorescent bulbs. There's easy access to the bulb and it still works fine after 1.5 years.
