I bought these to put around the railing of my Deck. I have about 8 Installed and they light up the entire 22x10 ft deck. It's more of a soft light, but good enough to see in the dark and move your way around. Mostly bought it for the decoration, and landscape lighting. It does a awesome job, had them installed for about 3 months and still working great, rain, wind, doesn't matter they just keep on ticking. They have replaceable Rechargeable AA batteries, so if they start to die out, you can just replace them. The ones that came with it look like they are some no name brand, so I'm thinking if you replace them with a name brand they might work even longer into the night. Right now I've noticed them working up until 3am in the morning, not sure if they last the entire night, During the summer months I would assume they could. In the winter I doubt they will last past 1 or 2am in the morning due to the daylight, but if they are in direct view of the sun you might be in luck.
Would recommend to anyone.

I bought two to illuminate the steps I'd just build for the front of our home. They fit perfectly on a 4x4 post. They light up the steps as needed and amazingly last throughout the night to the next day when it's light enough for them to shut off, i.e. they didn't run down during the night. I've had them now for 2 months and they work really well. I'll probably buy more.Best Deals for Moonrays Mini Rectangle Solar Deck Light
Currently for outdoor lighting there are 2 main options with different Pro's and Con's:1) low voltage landscape lighting this involves buying a transformer, wire, lights, or a low voltage kit and literally wiring each light and plugging them all in. On a deck you would have to drill holes to wire through the wood. Pro's: the look is most professional because the amount of light. Con's: COST of materials, Cost of labor.
2) Solar Lighting these lights are standalone units. So you take them out of the box and pull the tab from the battery slot and they basically work. Just put in a couple small nails or screws and this light mounts fairly simply. The light is not super-bright. Do not expect very bright. Also because the batteries charge with sunlight, you'll get different brightnesses from each fixture based on the direction it is pointed. Pro's:COST, setup is quick, light is decent. Con's: brightness does not compare to real lights but these are 100% good enough for my walkway.
I would buy again, either this rectangle unit or the Round Mini Deck Light.

Honest reviews on Moonrays Mini Rectangle Solar Deck Light
I bought four of these to illuminate the steps that are next to a wheelchair ramp. I attached them to the side of the ramp and they provide enough light so I can clearly see each step. Having stumbled once on these steps late at night, this was an excellent, yet inexpensive solution. Update: Having had these lights for over a month now, I'm sorry to say two of the four are no longer working properly. They come on in the early evening, and when it's fully dark, they are already out. The only way to correct this is to turn them off manually during the day, and switch them back on after dark. That's why I've adjusted my previous 5 stars to 3.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Moonrays Mini Rectangle Solar Deck Light
Quite impressed with the illumination these provide.I have a few of them mounted on the side of my house, facing south/SE.
They work well and light the walkway.
However, the original batteries supplied were of low quality & capacity, even after a full day of sun they had a tough time to supply enough power for a night.
After I replaced the batteries with somewhat higher capacity Ni-MH batteries, they now last all night long, and even if the following day is cloudy, they will power the lamps for a second night.
