This product is ok. It's not great. The fabric does not stay upright all the time. The fan is too small or not powerful enough. I used fresh batteries off the shelf. It will work ok indoors but oustide (my intended use) it will not work well if there is a breeze. The led lights are ok. The fabric tends to have strings coming off. They give you a replacement fabric also. I might try to cut the extra flame fabric so it doesnt flop over anymore.

Ran for about seven hours straight. After four and a half the fan was weak, the silks would only stand half way up. They were not worn or frayed very much and the batteries were new Duracell's. On the up side the LED lights were still shining bright. If I was to use this more than once a year for a few hours at a time I'd get the adapter or find one with longer staying power.

I ordered this to use at a prop at a book fair for my book called Tent City. See what I was going for there? The book signing was five hours away from home so when I got there and the Cauldron wasn't working, panic mode! I was upset because it was the best prop I had. The latch had gotten stuck and the batteries were not staying place so it would not turn on. After what seemed like an hour and lots of help from lots of people, we finally got the plastic cover off with a knife and put the batteries back in and it worked. We had to use it with the cover off in case the batteries slipped out again. It did end up working and it got a lot of comments from people walking by and lots of jokes were made like people warming their hands by the fire, so it did do it's job. I just expect it to work like it should. If the latching system on the cover worked, it would have been worth the price. I'm not sure it would work outside though. More just for indoors.
