This works fine for our purposes which was to highlight house numbers out by the street. Not quite as bright as I had hoped but the solar aspect of it works very well. The plastic door that covers the battery started falling open so we just put a small piece of clear tape over it. only installed one because they looked cheap, glad I did it that way. the one I installed never put out much light at all.
