I had 3 reservations about buying this LED light:

1. brightness: turns out that it is t least as bright as the 75W bulbs that it replaced.

2. color: it emits almost the same color as the regular light bulbs (it's not too while or blue)

3. light concentration. It turns out that the 38 degree beam spread is quite good (at least for my 9' ceiling)

So, I recommend it. You may want to also check costco though.

This lamp started occasionally flickering after about 2 months. Yesterday it failed completely and was so hot I had to wait to remove it from the socket. This is a dangerous bulb and a fire hazard.

On the plus side it is a bright bulb and starts instantly. I only got a 30 hour life instead of the advertised 30,000 hours.

Feit Electric does not respond to emails. I called customer service and they said I could return the bulb. However, they said I would have to pay all shipping charges. Not a very responsible company.

I recommend you stay away from this bulb.

If I wasn't married, I'd marry these. I like them that much. These lamps are great. They are bright, brighter than the 100 watt(equivalent) CFL and a little bit whiter light than them too. They run cool I put one in my shower and it really lit it up. This particular lamp doesn't produce subtle warm light but the light is a good color. IMO.

We have 60 can lights in our house so I'm slowly replacing the CFLs with LEDs. I'll be happier when the prices come down but these are much better, IMO, than CFLs. When you run 60 CFLs you learn that the claims that they run for long time is false. Some of them have but some I've replaced quite often.

These LEDs have better quality light and are much brighter. The light they produce will not fade photographs whic I have on my walls instead of other 'art'/decor.

Due to the expense the rate of return will be a while but will pay for themselves eventually. If you have a fixture that is difficult to get to then a LED lamp would be a great idea.

This particular light would not fit inside my can light with the moveable bullet eye. A regular can was fine. They are heavy, probably close to a pound.

Do your research when buying LEDs.
