This bulb is 5/16" deeper/longer than a standard halogen MR16 bulb. I provided feedback with a 3 star rating, and the seller offered to give me a refund IF I would take my negative review down. I don't see it as a negative review, just an accurate physical description for others purchasing so I didn't agree to take the review down. So I lowered my review to 2 stars for what I feel is a bad business practice of only giving a refund if I didn't tell others. Bulb is OK as long as you realize it's 5/16" longer and may stick out/beyond some fixtures.

I bought these units to replace 50w halogen M-16 bulbs for use in trade show booth lighting. Their luminosity is maybe a third of the halogen, the light is much cooler, not suitable to display wooden furniture, and the beam is not tightly focused; it's more like a floodlight than a spotlight. In other words, they fail as a one-to-one replacement for 50w M-16 halogen bulbs. In order to get the same amount of luminosity as a halogen, I will have to buy additional light fixtures on the order of three to one, negating any savings of energy costs. Additionally, they are longer than M-16 halogens making the fit difficult, although not impossible. Not adequate to my needs.

Good vendor experience. The delivery was faster than they stated by 1 day. Used product to replace 50w halogen lamps on motorcycle lightbar. So far lights have been great. They don't project as far, but the light is very white and appears to be "fuller". The color now matches the HID headlight color. Would definitely recommend."
