I bought these lights for a customer's kitchen. I've used rope lights on several backlighting projects in the past but until recently LED's were too expensive. This installation had no problems with getting wet, so the non-waterproof nature of these was just fine. We chose the warm white over the bright white based on customer preference, I feel it was a good choice, the amount of light given off by this product is unreal. Seems strange that a little 1/8" square piece of whatever on 1" spacing can provide this much light.

Joining sections presented some problems, but after playing with couplers, I decided that soldering jumpers was better. All I had on hand was some old 16 guage speaker wire, given the low power requirements 20 or 22 would have worked as well or better. While I may have gotten by with one power unit, since the customer wanted separate systems I used two, and controlled the power to the units, instead of switching the output of a single one. I made sure the surface to be glued to was clean and had no problems sticking the 3M backed strip to the cabinet sides and the cornice moulding. Bending around corners was a breeze, and the entire installation including all the electrical and the cabinet modification only took about 3.5 hours.

Customer was very happy with results, and commented that as soon as she sees it, her daughter will want it as well.

I cut a strip....and used a connecter....that i got from the same place.....connected them ..plugged them up...only the first strip works....wtf

Inexpensive, and pretty easy to work with. I easliy soldered sections together to build a custom light fixture. You can't see it looking at the bare stip, but when the light is diffused through acid etched (frosted) glass, you can see different colors of light. I think these are a visually unpleasant random mix of LEDs. Pinkish purple, yellow and white sections. Made in china junk. Again.

I have ordered two sets of these lights. One for under cabinet lighting and another set to light up the exterior of my garage door. They provide excellent bright, dimmable light at around 3000K. The light output is consistent and clean with very little to no heat produced. I only give it 4 stars because the adhesive isn't the greatest and the led diode is exposed. Im not sure if they are actually waterproof. You will need to carefully staple them if you need them to stay put for a long time. I would def buy another set.

I love these LED strips. So easy to install and connect. I have 3 different colored strips from this company and still have not been disappointed. The greens are super bright, the blue has an excellent bright glow, just like an ocean, and the reds give an overall nice faded color, not too bright and not too low. But these blues, however, are awesome. Like I stated above, these blues give an awesome glow. They are bright, which I absolutely love, and it's not overbearing where it becomes a nuisance. It has a very calm look to it and lights up all of my desk area. I use these strip[s for my comp desktop and it looks great. I will buy more in the future whenever I need more. Good product!
