When I saw a nature program demonstrate scorpions are fluorescent in UV light I had to have one. A light, that it's. Scorpions are common in the central Savannah river area. It's really cool to kick the mulch on a warm evening and see what glows.

The over the top strap makes this lamp more comfortable (better weight distribution) than one with a simple head band. The button is subtle, making it hard to operate with gloves in a work or cold weather situation.

the white and green light are pretty good but its very hard to follow a blood trail with the uv light thats why i originally bought it

very nice head lamp, I would have given it a five but the on and off button is compresed to easy and it keeps getting turned on while in my fanny pack hunting and then the batteries go dead. other then that this is a fantastic light at a very good price. the Green light is what you need while walking in at night as not to alarm game.

We got these headlamps because of the white and black light options for summer music festival camping. Not only did we use them as flashlights, we used them for inside-tent lighting and the black light to highlight UV paint. The light is strong and the elastic is comfortable, although we didn't wear them as headlamps while we used them.
