We were doing some renovation work in 2 large rooms that involved ripping out the floors and replacing them. The halogen lights on stands not only didn't do a great job of illuminating the whole room, but there would be no place for them to stand as the flooring and joists were cut out. I was going to run temporary wiring and fixtures but a friend said to try these. I stuck 100 watt bulbs in the sockets, hung them up, and boy did they do an awesome job (without wiring and fixtures and junction boxes and a weekend of extra work). Super fast to put up, super efficient in lighting the place up, they're great. I bought a second set to put up in a storage container.

I have the 100 foot in my unfinised space over the big garage. Works great. 100W florecent bulbs draw 18W. I bought this to use in a remodel of my house where we removed the sheet rock. No lights. I connected it with a temporary wall mount light switch and we have light. Very nice.
