I had hoped to use this light under the edge of a kitchen countertop where there is only a very small mounting lip. The size and mounting design are great and the light seems to be good value but the light output is not at all what I needed. It's pretty dim and the color temperature is very warm, more like a candle than an incandescent bulb. I'll still be able to use the light but only as a sort of big night light over some French doors on my back deck. Don't buy it expecting to be able to use it as a work light.

I inherited a credenza from my grandmother that has a glass top so you can display items inside. The light bar burned out and I was desperate to replace it. I searched for days and finally found this one here on Amazon. It is the exact light I needed to replace and the price was well worth it just to have my display back.

While I understood that this light strip was a total of 18 watts, I expected to have enough light to be able to see the keys on my keyboard with the light mounted about 2 feet overhead. I found it difficult to mount in a way that cast the light where I needed it. Unfortunately it did not serve my purpose and is more like a decorative christmas light.
