Don't waste your money on these fixtures, particularly on the aluminum versions if you live near saltwater. Instead, buy one of the brass LED versions of this fixture, e.g., 15764BBR. The brass LED fixtures are not that much more expensive and will quickly pay for themselves in maintenance savings. Note that if you have an electronic transformer, you may need to upgrade it to a transformer compatible with LED fixtures.

It is VERY difficult to find: (1) an outdoor light that is (2) approved for use near water and (3) unobtrusive while being (4) bright enough to illuminate a walkway. Did I mention that it also needed to be (5) affordable? This light fits all of those 'bills'.Though the brochures show this as being mounted on a vertical surface, I mounted mine flush with the deck of a bridge. The housing is secure enough that It doesn't pop-off when I'm sweeping snow, and well enough designed that rainwater drains away without shorting out the system.
Yet the housing is also incredibly simple to remove when I need to change the bulb. The only advice I would give is that if you're going to mount this such that it is at the line-of-site level, the bulbs provided are WAY too bright. I had to drop down from the 25w clear halogens provided to 5w frosted halogens to accommodate road traffic 50 feet away.
Regardless, I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled with this product.
