We needed a flush-fitting light for a new wardrobe and had used something similar when we lived in the UK. Local big box stores had nothing useful...and then we found this light. Absolutely perfect and easy to install.

I was looking to change my bathroom can lights to something with better lighting. I was amazed at the amount of light this provides. The price was also great compared to other big box stores. Very easy to install. I would make sure that you purchase the "warm white" as the "bright white" made the room very clinical. Although that might be ok if you're a dentist..

Although mine came damaged, my review is more about the quality of construction of this unit. I have some other similar housings and wanted to see how this compared. I can not attest to the life expectancy of the LED's but I would assume they will be just as good as any other Epistar LED's which mean that they should last about 20,000 hours minimum. (Don't confuse this with Cree LED's which would last longer, be about 20% brighter and cost 3X as much). Likely the power supply will fail before the LED's do.

The housing and fabrication of this light is cheap, really cheap. Don't expect the metal of the ring (if it is metal at all) to match the surface and color of the inner module with the LED's. It's very cheap, very light, easily damaged and dented. It's not stainless steel or any kind of metal plate. I suppose this would do the trick in a location you are not staring at all the time but I was going to use about 20 of these in a kitchen ceiling and just feel that they look too cheap to put them there.

The pivot of the fixture is just held in by regular Phillips head screws and will loosen if you adjust a few times.

This is as good a unit as some here on Amazon but do not confuse this with a high quality housing.

The light is nice for suspended or drywall installs since it locks itself into place in a hole. The "warm" light is more brown than I hoped for (wanted an incandescent tone). I also ordered "pure" or "cool" white light in this style and much prefer it. The pure or cool white is more natural and not "blue" like many CFL light bulbs.

The only other head-scratcher with these lights is how to wire many of them to code. If the transformer could handle multiple lights it could be wired much like 12v light otherwise the 120v input would almost have to have an enclosed connection.

I ordered 7 of these units, they arrived on time and in good condition. I installed them in the kitchen of a "green" home I built recently. They are great for task lighting over the counters and bar area. The stainless steel finish went well with the all stainless LG appliances I used. The clip style installation saves a LOT of time versus Halo can style of recessed lighting. These lights provide plenty of light without generating heat and they look very good. One note: the retaining spring broke on one of the clips on one light, I replaced the spring from parts in my tool bucket and all is well. Overall this is a very good light for task lighting in a kitchen or study.
