I bought 4 lamps and they were delivered to the US from China via DHL in 4 days, over the weekend. Just got them and therefore cannot talk reliability. I mounted the lamps on a 9 ft ceiling and they adequately filled a 12x12ft room with color. The heat is well dissipated over large ribbed areas and I have not noticed overheating.
There is a certain buzzing when operating at lower brightness levels and some lamps are noisier than others, but that did not create a major problem at 9 ft height.
Setting the lamps for transient effects did not impress, mainly because the light lacked color saturation and never transitioned through any of the pure colors Red, Green or Blue. I ended up setting the lamps for different static colors, and that was satisfactory good color setting range to play with.
After pressing the OFF button on the remote, the light is turned off, but with a residual buzzing and current consumption, claimed to be normal. By operating the wall switch (full power on/off) I either lost the color settings or would not see the light back on. Once I turned on the power from the wall switch, the ON/OFF remote button operation preserved the color settings.
I am one to believe that the residual buzzing (continuously heard after the light is turned off from the remote) cannot spell long life, therefore I fully shut the lamps off from the wall switch, but then I have to reset the color from the remote when I turn them back on.
Update: I used these 4 lamps simultaneously for about 11 months, 2-3 hours/night. One of 4 is no longer turning on. Their warranty is only 30 days.
