Cheap CREE Q5 Red LED 501B Torch Flashlight Light Lamp for Hiking
I received this light today! It seems like a great light, when used with the recommended batteries! The light comes with no instructions. I bought the recommended 16850 batteries but also bought a brand of rechargeable CR123A batteries and that was a mistake. While the light worked perfectly with the recommended 16850, when I tried to use the CR123A batteries, the light turned on for about 3 seconds and then shut off. When I tried the 16850 in it again, the light would no longer turn on. I don't want to speculate as to the cause in this review, but I am guessing that the bulb burned out, for whatever reason. Again, not speculating as to why. So, I am just offering this as a tip in my review. Great looking flashlight and seems to put out a great red light, but I strongly recommend you only use the recommended 16850 battery. I feel the CR123A batteries were my mistake, as they are not recommended for this light, so rather than trouble the seller, I am simply buying another of these lights. It was user error, after all, I guess. Gave 4 stars instead of 5, only because I like to have at least minimal instructions come with a product. (My tip is only so you hopefully do not repeat my error. By the way, the CR123A in question actually were UltraFire brand, as well, but I think that has nothing to do with anything.)
