While the 80 LED version is by far more bright than the 36 LED version, there are a few draw backs to this one.

1. Even though the box and Amazon details say it is a dusk to dawn Solar powered lighting system, it isn't. It is programmed to shut

off 6 hours into the night. The motion detector still will turn the light on, but it will not stay at min power during the full duration of

the night. This is due to the fact that the Solar panel isn't large enough to recharge the batteries to full power. This is a flaw in

the design of this product.

2. Even thought the details section says you can get it in Bright White, you can't. It only comes in Soft White.

3. Even with changing the settings on the housing to every position, I cannot get the light to stay on longer than 1 minute at full

power.

4. The dimmed power on setting is about 15-20% of full power, which is a let down compared to the 36 LED Version which is much

brighter at power save mode.

I have the 36 LED version and it rocks! I have two of the 80 LED's and they do a good enough job to keep them, plus they are very bright! If you require a true Dusk to Dawn solar powered lighting system go with the 36 LED version, however if you are ok with it shutting off after 6 hours on, and motion on after that, then the 80's should work fine.

We bought these lights about three months ago. They are great ! They have survived torrential rains and extreme heat here in Florida and give off perfect light -not too bright bright enough to see all. We leave them in the automatic on and they light up when anyone comes in our yard. Sturdy lights for solar. We are very satisfied with these lights. The instructions that came with these lights were translated from Chinese which leaves a lot to be desired. However they are very comprehensive. After unboxing, I started by charging them with the supplied AC adapter for 3 hours or so as recommended.

I got them about 2 weeks ago. I mounted them on our back fence to illuminate the patio. I'm using the SMART mode so they dim after a minute of inactivity and brighten when motion is detected. The dim light is adjustable from nothing to full bright. The motion activated bright light is very good for illuminating the patio. Now we don't have to use of outdoor flood lights.

I was pleasantly surprised when on a cloudy day they performed the exact same way at night. My solar LED light string died after 3 hours, but these kept going.

I am thoroughly happy with these lights and will buy more soon.

they are bright and do the job asked. they new though, and the battery life will tell the tale in the future
