Purchased this along with a few other LED nightlights.

Consumes less than 1 watt. Hard to measure exactly (used a Kill-A-Watt)

The color is an amber color. This (to me) is more pleasing than the bright bluish-white of other LED nightlights. Depends on what you're looking for.

Relative to the other LED nightlights I purchased (from Maxxima and elsewhere), this nightlight is fairly dim. It's just enough to give some light to see where you're going at night. For some people, it might be suitable in a bedroom, since the light is dim and not too harsh.

The profile is nice and flat, and I like how it doesn't protrude too much from the wall. It's not as flat as the cheap EL nightlights.

Light sensor: It works pretty well, in fact, it is one of the few light sensors I've seen that seems to employ "hysteresis". Effectively this means it won't dim gradually like some nightlights do it'll be on or off. The nightlight also won't "flicker" on and off when the ambient light is at just the right level. The sensor is pretty good, and seems to turn the light off at the right time.

Pretty happy with this product. I'm going to buy a couple more. For my house, the color of this nightlight is a lot more pleasing to me than the white LED night lights.

For my needs this night light is perfect!

+Senor only turns on when it really is dark.

+Doesn't hog an outlet (I only have one in my bathroom where the night light is).

+Light is bright enough to keep me from fumbling around in the dark yet dim enough that it doesn't fully wake me up if I get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.*

+The color of the light is soft, I don't find the bright white or blue lights appealing.

+Design is attractive enough that it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb (not that I'd buy it for looks alone).

+LED lights don't waste energy or cause a safety hazard like traditional night lights, which can get very hot throughout the night.

*I should mention that the most important factor in my liking this night light is that the light isn't very bright. In the past I've had trouble falling back asleep when I wake up to use the bathroom. I read a few books on sleep and many suggested finding a low, warm light because exposure to bright lights can halt the production of melatonin in the brain and signal to the body that it is time to wake up. So if you're looking for a light for a whole room or stairs, this might not satisfy your needs.

This is my second LED nightlight purchase. The other package contained two bright slightly bluish-white 5-LED ightlights that run all the time. The bulky design made it impossible to use the other outlet in a standard recepticle.

This one (also from Amazon) came three to the package (contrary to the specs that say you get only one).

As I recall the package said they use only 1/2 watt of electricity, and only run in dusky/dark environment. Perfect. The color is a terrific soft warm gold.

Best of all, the smaller design of this nightlight allows you to use the other outlet AND provides a pass-through outlet so you don't use up any outlets!

The light is NOT bright, however. So if you want to light up a hallway, go for a choice with more LEDs.

The Leviton OUTLT-AMB Outlet Saver is a simple, well-designed night light suitable for use in a bathroom or hallway.

Unlike some I've used, it does not (when plugged into the upper outlet) block the lower outlet for use with a standard two-or-three-prong plug or a power brick. It also provides a pass-through two-prong outlet, which is especially useful in bathrooms, where a single pair of outlets is typical.

It provides a soft amber light which is sufficient for finding your way around a bathroom or down a hallway at night. Given the expected long life of LED devices, the price seems reasonable to me. I have posted a pair of photographs to clarify the relative size of the device and what it looks like when lit.

Perfect amount of light for a bathroom. Doesn't protrude much from wall, and supplies an outlet. Good product.
