I purchased this item at first thinking it was like the old ones I had around my house, once they arrived I realized they looked the same but were much more efficient but a lot brighter as well. They are great for areas where you are not sleeping. Hallways, Bathrooms, living room. It casts a bit of a shadow due to the brightness so that is why I do not recommend it where you are sleeping. These LED's are great and efficient, but a little too bright in my opinion for my bedroom nightlight.

I needed some night lights. Uh for my cat, yeah. Anyway, what drew me to these was that when I was a kid we had very similar night lights. Brought back good memories.

So I was ready to purchase these(great value a 2-pack!)when I read something I had missed that they were energy efficient LED lights. I could leave them plugged in and didn't have to worry about switching them on and off, but didn't have to pay for the higher priced ones that "sense" sunrise and sunset. How convenient!

Good product, good value, and pretty too! They make a pretty designs on the walls when you rotate them around in the dark. My cat loves it. There may be "prettier" ones but for your average person on a budget, 20 bucks for an artistic prettier night light seems a little excessive.

Point made.

I'll update in several months as to durability.

The title pretty much says it all. The other 3 are doing just fine. Not very bright, but enough to allow you to see a little in the dark. The jewel top swivels and removes from the base easily. Not sure if this is good or not as there is no reason for this to not be a single solid unit, it's not as though the light can be repaired if it's damaged. Our 2 year old likes to grab the tops and unscrew them and walk around with them, haven't lost any yet.
