Got this because it seemed to be the best light out there based on the reviews. I can't compare it since I don't own other lights, but it certainly beats reading with a hiking headlamp (yes, I used to do that at home).

The swiveling head is perfect to adjust the beam to find the best position.

I wish there was a low / high setting as it is, it is mighty bright indeed more than absolutely needed.

Battery life has been just fine may have replaced one in like 4 months (you can get 20 batteries here on Amazon for $5)CR2032 Lithium Battery, Package of 5 (5 Packs 25 Batteries)

My only complaint which costs it a star is that the light flickers this is related to the battery holder; if you squeeze the light, it shines brighter, if you release it it flickers. Not permanently, just here and there. Nothing terrible to warrant a bad review, but mildly annoying.

Overall, a good product, that with some minor improvements could be truly great.

UPDATE March 2013: Well, the mildly annoying flickering has become a really upsetting issue. At the beginning it would flicker for a second or so, but now it flickers almost all the time. I tried adding a bit of rolled paper in the battery compartment to put some pressure on the battery (it seems the flickering is associated to the battery wiggling inside), but that hardly made any difference. I am baffled and think ultimately this is a design flaw. I still like this light better than anything else I've seen, but I would not purchase it again knowing what I know now. Hopefully they will revisit the design to make it truly great. By the way, it does consume quite a bit of battery even though inexpensive at around 50c each batt; expect to use 1 battery per month or so (using one hour per night at most).

This light is very lightweight and illuminates my kindle evenly and brightly. I have a GO! case by M-Edge, and this light slides right into the pocket designed for their own light perfectly. Also, the metallic lime colour is lovely.

Ever since discovering these little book lights, I have purchased NUMEROUS of them so that I have them all over the house (I have difficulty reading fine print in low light) and in my purse, and I have given soooo many away as gifts. They are always a big hit as gifts! I don't really use mine as a book light; more like a tiny flashlight. Great for finding stuff in your purse, reading menus in a darkened restaurant, or just keeping in places where there is low light. To conserve electricity, I do not use electric lights much at nighttime, just candles and these things. HELPFUL TIP: The batteries last a long time (and each unit comes with one pre-installed), and I also highly recommend purchasing from Amazon item: CR2032 Lithium Battery, Package of 5 (5 Packs 25 Batteries, currently priced at $4.96) because it's a steal of a deal to buy them in bulk and when you give them as gifts you can include extra batteries, which people always appreciate. ALSO, don't buy the first Mighty Bright Ultra Thin Booklight you see at top of list on Amazon; if you aren't picky about color you can get each for about $6.80, and that is what I am willing to pay (I have seen them for $9.99 too but both prices are on Prime).
