I have been waiting for a reasonably priced LED MR16 (and GU10) light to replace my 50W halogens for a quite a while but the price and quality just wasn't there.
I ordered a selection of TorchStar 3200 K (warm white), 7000 K (cool white) (MR16 and GU10) to try out. I am very pleased!! The 3200 K was the right color, with the 7000 K being too white (doesn't do well in a home) I put those in the bathroom and they do just fine. I will order 3200 K ones for the rest of the house. The brightness (lumens) is pretty similar to the current 50W halogen they replaced and USING ONLY 4 WATTS!!
The GU10 I bought had a 45 degree spread which was a little narrow for me hoping to find one with 60 degrees (the MR16s were 60 degrees each).
I intend on placing an order to replace the lights in my entire home expecting to very significantly reduce my very high monthly electricity bill. I am so glad the time has finally arrived for LED lighting!

After reading the positive reviews on this bulb I ordered one to try out in our halogen track light we use in our kitchen. The bulb seems to be of good quality and as bright as the more expensive bulbs. As another reviewer mentioned I like that it is multidimensional so the sides light up the fixture nicely.I was hoping to achieve a lower cost alternative from the significantly more expensive LEDs, but do not think this bulb is the right fit for us. The two issues I have with the bulb are with the color and a slight delay when turning on. The color of the bulb has a slight green tint to it. Because this is a main lighting in our kitchen the green tint is a deal breaker. An example is when my wife stood under the light it gave her a seasick complexion. Depending on your application this may or may not be an issue, but keep this in mind if you're using it in a similar setup. The second or two delay wouldn't be an issue if you're using all of these bulbs in your fixture or have a single bulb fixture, however it's very noticeable when the other 5 lights in our fixture are instant on.
The seller offered to refund the price of the bulb, but I decided to keep it since it was low cost and shipping would negate a good portion of the refund.
Overall the bulb is a good value if you don't mind the color or delayed turn on.

I have initially started looking for GU10 lights for my hall/entrance lights. I have a beautiful chandelier with 16 GU10 and 2 side lights with 3 GU10 in each. That's total of 22 GU10. Well, you guess right... with 50W each that was over 1,000 Watt I was burning only for my entrance hall!!Initially I have purchased HitLights GU10 3W LED Dimmable Warm White Spot light Bulb Epistar Chip , Equivalent to 35W Halogen, Standard Size. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice product with only 3W, but it wasn't right choice for my specific chandelier and side lights.
TorchStar GU10 4W LED although 4W and not dimmable has a multidimensional angle on light. So if you, like me, need a bulb which is seen from outside (I will post pictures to show exactly what I mean) this is the right light! Not only it is brighter (4W = 50W), but the light angle is wonderful. It is not directional, like in most LED lights. Another plus, the heat from these bulbs is not as bad as from regular 50W. In one of my rooms, I've had mounting around lights melted + the switch was always hot to the touch with too much W. Not anymore.
Love my purchase and energy consumption (from over 1KW to under 90W!). After this purchase, I've purchased MR16 and more GU10 from this company! My whole house inside (mostly GU10) and outside (MR16) is packed with these lights. I am hoping it is a smart purchase.
I will post pictures to compare both LED GU10 3200K Warm White Spotlight 110V 4W (340 Lumen 50 Watt Equivalent) 45 Degree Beam angle and HitLights GU10 3W LED Dimmable Warm White Spot light Bulb Epistar Chip , Equivalent to 35W Halogen, Standard Size. Just all depends on your needs!
Honest reviews on TORCHSTAR LED GU10 3200K Warm White Spotlight 110V 4W (330 Lumen
This is the second review I've attempted to leave for this product. My previous review contained a video, as well as pictures, showing this LED bulb installed in my kitchen next to my halogens. It showed clearly that these bulbs are not anywhere near the warmth of a 3200k halogen bulb. I'm not sure what happened to the review, but I will try to upload my pictures again.More importantly, however, is the fact that this seller is providing monetary incentives to customers to post positive reviews. In my packaging was a flyer promising a discount on my next order if I left a positive review on Amazon.
Do what you will with that information, but I can assure you that these bulbs put off a green-blue hue, not a warm halogen like hue.

I bought these to put in a three-bulb ceiling fixture in the laundry/utility room. The light in there tends to stay on all the time, even when we're not home because it's a centrally-located room with multiple doorways to the rest of the house and because the dog bowls are in there. So, the idea of replacing 50W halogens with 4W LEDs is very appealing. As others have pointed out, these bulbs are about 1/4" longer than the standard halogen MR16 GU10 bulbs. In my application, this makes them stick out of the surround a bit, but it's tolerable.
The color of these bulbs is pretty stark white with a strange undelying green tinge. You can tell they are relatively low CRI compared to halogen and some other LEDs. In a laundry/utility room, the only time this matters is when trying to match dark colored socks. If you have pairs of dark green socks that are similar but definitely not the same, it can be tricky to match them up right.
But the biggest let down for me was the light output. With 3 50W halogens, the room was very brightly lit and inviting. I think these LED bulbs are closer to 25W equivalent output. I have replaced other incandescent bulbs with LEDs, most notably 6" cans with the CREE-based conversion kits (11W light as 65W replacement) and using the Philips "yellow alien" bulbs in some lamps (10-12W light as 65W replacement). In both those cases, I felt the light output was equivalent. Bottom line is, I think 6 is a good LED-halogen conversion factor, maybe up to 7 or 8. But these bulbs are claiming over 10, which is clearly marketing BS.
The price on these bulbs is good. They've been running continuously for about 2 weeks now.
