Excellent Accessory for a proven and Quality Product (Streamlight Sidewinder)!!! Used it recently to search though my vehicle one evening and it did the job. My next test would be to see how well it will stay on when I place on a construction hard hat type of cover. Over all this product is great for hands free work and so far I have not found any issues.

I bought this as a gift for my husband for hunting and he loves it. The first time he used it, they came off the mountain after dark and this little light was brighter and better than the beam of their four wheelers. The battery last for at least 5 hours on the brightest setting, which is bright.

I had the STL-300 Stoplight Tactical Light and Laser on my lower pictinney rail of my rifle. I also carried the Streamlight 14001 Sidewinder Tactical Flashlight IR LED, Olive Drab Green when I hunt or hike. The STL-300 Stoplight Tactical Light and Laser is a little bit overkill. I just need a light to keep the coyotes away from my chickens and help on the trail. This lets me put the Streamlight 14001 Sidewinder Tactical Flashlight on my rail so my flash light goes on or comes for how/when I need it. The description of this thing on the Streamlight web site does not say in plain English "This mount lets you attached your streamlight sidewinder to your rifle or helmet. Mount works on a pictinney rail. Use Loctite when mounting."

I got this as one of those" better to have it and not need it; than need it and not have it" applications.
