These are not waterproof, but that was known at the onset. Be aware if you are looking for something that is, nearly identical strips are available that are waterproof.
The light from these is quite bright. I'm more than impressed by the quality of the color and quantity of output. I have them mounted under my kitchen cabinets and the results are better than I expected. The adhesive was not up to the task for the underside of my cabinets, but thats due to the cabinets being older and the wood surface being composite chips and not real wood. Nothing to fault with the LED strips. I ended up covering them with a layer of clear packing tape to finish securing them.
I have a dimmer on them which is quite useful since there is no need to run them at full brightness when being used as a nightlight.
I have shown these to several friends and all of them are buying some. It is really nice to get this quantity of lights in a very usable packaging. Really great product.
