I only have somethings to say regarding these led's you may find helpful.
If you use the supplied clips and cut where they touch I have never been able to get the clips to work but if you cut where the scissor marks are and touch the end contacts (with different clips) it works great.
Basically every roughly 3 inches there are contact points and every other has a scissor picture but to use the supplied clips you must cut where there is no scissor pictured in order for the clips to make contact with copper but then again I have never been able to get it to actually provide power on the other side (or pass a resistance test).
So basically I bought a bag of RGB clips (4 connectors) and made my cuts at the scissor points and it has worked since.
