Yes it is comfortable and yes it is litght weight, but it is not bright at all. My wife tried to use it last night and all I heard about was how close she had to hold the book to be able to see. Defanently use in a pitch black room to make it seem brighter.

I was very disappointed in this product. The light does not reach the written material very well, and it's practically impossible to adjust it so that it does.
