I'm giving this unit a top rating, because it's not fair for me to do otherwise based on my own narrow problem with it. If you are considering this unit, you probably are concerned and prefer the natural light element of these types of lights. I've owned Ott lights, and even though this is not an Ott light, the light quality is fine for my eyes. You might care about its positioning and it's ability to stay put in your desired position. It does those things we'll. You might not have noticed as I had not that the on/off switch is a touch sensor button. It works very well and quite nice to deal with. The base is a reasonable footprint and includes an indentation on its top that might hold a paper clip or two. My personal beef is the bulb itself. I happen to own a quantity of fluorescent bulbs I thought I could use in this unit. That won't be the case. This build is different than the now dormant stock of bulbs I have on hand. I do not know how available these other type bulbs are nor how costly they are. I'm sure they are available somewhere. Check the bulb. This lamp looks great on my desk. The problem lies in the 13W bulb--it's just not strong enough for most things I do at my desk--a great disappointment to me.
