These lights have eight different settings for blinking, fading, steady, etc. but every time I plug them in, they default to fast twinkling regardless of what setting I had them on before. This is frustrating because I use them in my apartment for ambient light and I always want them to be steady, not flashing. I have two strings connected, so every time I turn them on I have to click through all the settings on both strings until they are on the steady mode.Other than that, they're good lights. The quality might be slightly on the cheap side, but they're not bad for the price. Bright and pretty, and since I have them strung around my ceiling I appreciate that the wires are silver, not dark green like other christmas lights.

The lights are pretty, but this item is unusable and a cheap piece of crap. The plug is very poorly made so you can't even keep the lights on unless you sit at the outlet and hold it in place.
