Finally, with FEIT's remote phosphor bulbs, I have bulbs that can be used in the dining room. Admittedly, they do not have the warm yellow glow of incandescent bulbs when they are fully dimmed, but they do not look bad at all, just a dim white.
In our fixture, they are hidden from view by glass, so we do not see actually the bulb at all.
Of the 4 bulbs I purchased so far, one of them is buzzing. I need to order more bulbs anyway, so I will replace it with a new bulb and put that buzzing bulb in the garage.
As far as light output is concerned... to me, they actually seem brighter than the 100w incandescents that they are replacing.

FIRST., I love the WHITE colored 60 watt equivalent from Feit. I bought a ton of the 60 watt LED's that produce very bright, nice , white light. I was excited to buy the 1600 lumen 100 watt equivalent because I 'assumed' it would be TWICE the lumens of the 60 watt. I was disappointed. First, none of the makers has a true instant on 100 watt equivalent right now. It has a 2 second lag to turn on. The bulb was also NOT as bright the standard light bulb it replaced. It felt more like 1400 lumens than 1600 (Dim..almost the same brightness as the Feit 60 watt equivalent). The yellow ring is the only light producer in the bulb. The top of the bulb is a dead spot with no LEDs. They should do like other makers and cover the top of this bulb with 5 LEDs to make it more onmidirectonal. It would then produce a TRUE 1700 lumens.I ended up returning this. I still love the 60 watt equivalent from Feit. I don't like the 'yellow band' technology from any of the other companies either for that matter.
