Of the four bulbs, three worked fine. Unfortunately, the fourth glimmered faintly, then gave it up completely, right out of the package. I wasn't paying attention, so I ended up with $5 in shipping. This brought the total to over $6. I advise others to do what I will do in the future, and purchase 4 bulbs from Walmart for $1.50, getting 4 for the price of one of these.

I have had many of these die shortly after installation, often within seconds. Not exactly the 2000 hour life advertised. But I think I have discovered why. Some of them I have installed into night lights with an on/off switch. The others turn on and off with a light sensor. Almost every time they have died it was when they were "on", either because the switch was on or it was dark enough for them to be on (often not very dark). What I believe is that the filament is extremely fragile when hot. A slight movement and the filament will break. If you don't want these to die an early and quick death, do not unplug them/move them when they are on. This was a major problem for me with the ones in light-sensor mode as they would either be on already or turn on when my hand went in front of them. So they are better in a night light with an on/off switch or if you never want to move it/unplug it.

My house is littered with night lamps which my family turn on at night to light our way around when we get out of bed for a trip to the fridge, bathrooms, etc. They last a good while, are not too bright to be offensive in the middle of the night but yet provide enough lighting power to avoid stepping over items left on floor, electrical cables, carpet edges, etc. A good bargain item I keep plenty of these gems around for burnout replacements. I recommend this product.
