When we bought our house, the entry lights were, to put it kindly, erratic. Even after replacing the batteries, they would only stay on for a few minutes, then bizarrely start blinking around dawn. None of the local stores carry this style, but my wife found these on (where else?) Amazon. They fit right on to the existing platform even into the same holes and after charging for a couple of days, work fine. Be warned, though, that even in South Carolina, two or three hours is about all you'll get in the winter.
I would give this purchase 4.5 stars, if possible. The company sent them right out and we actually got them a day early. But they were black instead of the white we ordered. I immediately filled out the form on Amazon and within an hour had both an e-mail and a phone call from the company. They apologized, but said they wouldn't send replacements until they had confirmation that I had shipped the originals. By the time I had printed the return label and made it to the UPS Store, it was 4:15 and they were closed for the day. To make matters worse, it was Wednesday and they only work M Th. Finally, the only notice I got that they had, in fact, shipped the replacements was when they showed up at the front door on Monday.
So I would recommend the lights and the company but encourage them to be a little more customer-friendly.
