My only concern before making this purchase was how bright they would be. I assumed they would be less bright but I was prepared to accept that in order to save the electricity costs. Now I can't believe I was concerned with how bright these would be; In fact, they turned out brighter than the 65W incandescent floods they replaced. They are super bright and I think the warm-up time was maybe 10-15 seconds total. They are also more naturally cool white than the warmer color floods they replaced. I seriously don't know how anyone could not be happy with these bulbs as a replacement for conventional incandescent floods. If anything changes, however, as always I will come back and revise the review. An easy unqualified 5/5.

I have been picking up CFL flood lights from various places in hopes of finding good bulbs for our kitchen. We want the lights to come fast and get bright quickly. This was that 4th brand I tried (GE(1) and EveryLiving(2))and am very pleased that the bulbs appear to be a success. They bulbs came on as quickly (no blinking, sputtering start) as the incandescent bulbs and warm up in no time (no purple hue). I am tracking the bulbs birthday and will be interested to know if I can make the 7 year mark. I will be ordering more to replace some outside bulbs as well.

Because of the price of these bulbs I was skeptical about their quality. I can't tell you how long they will last, but we have used them for many months now and they are still working. We installed them in an outdoor light fixture under the eave. So far they have held up in snow, rain, and sub-zero temperatures. They put out plenty of light. We live in a very rural area with no street lights, etc. These two lights light up the front yard and driveway very well. No problems at all!

Stay away from these bulbs. Both the bulbs in the pack take >10 whole minutes to warm up, not seconds, and the light output is completely dwarfed by my 65 watt eq GE bulbs. When I turn them on they start out by putting out less light than the mini flashlight on my keychain and gradually warm up to about a 40 watt incandescent brightness. COMPLETE AND UTTER RUBBISH. I am so disappointed by this product I'm inclined to say that all the reviews for this product are fake comments to bolster this product's sales. Definitely go for a different product. I hope I got two duds, but I find that unlikely. Also, They get HOT, real hot, About half as hot as an incandescent light.

2 of 3 bulbs over a kitchen island burned out in 23 months, within 3 days of one another. We use them for 3 hours on the evenings we're home. Even if I assume it's every night of the week the lifespan was just a little over 2000 hours, equal to an incandescent. During that time each bulb saved roughly $10 in electricity but cost $6 more, so I saved $4 over 2 years using these bulbs. The deal breaker for me is the sickly-colored, dim light that these put out initially when compared to an incandescent. For nearly two years, every time I turned these lights on I thought, "Wow, these are gross and I have to wait for them to warm up to see."

I'm a fan of the technology and the utility savings but these particular bulbs are a poor value considering their drawbacks.
