We bought a ceiling fan with amber glass and the light was so dim. After purchasing these bulbs we now have enough needed light in the room. When one of these bulbs burned out prematurely, we were delighted to find a site at which we could purchase a few replacement bulbs at a reasonable cost. I didn't realize until after placing my order that I had ordered 40W bulbs. However, the brightness from the 40W ones seemed comparable to the original 60W ones.
